Waleed Al-Ahmed
Waleed Abdulwahab Al-Ahmed (; born 3 May 1999) is a Saudi Arabian professional footballer who plays as a defender for the Saudi Arabia national team and Al-Taawoun. Career On 6 June 2014, Al-Ahmed signed for Al-Hilal despite undergoing a trial at Al-Nassr. On 30 July 2017, he made his debut for Al-Hilal in the Arab Club Championship group stage match against ES Tunis. On 30 June 2019, he was chosen in the Saudi scholarship program to develop football talents established by General Sports Authority. On 10 October 2020, he joined Al-Faisaly on a three-year contract. On 27 May 2021, Al-Ahmed started the 2021 King Cup Final against Al-Taawoun and helped Al-Faisaly win their first title. On 21 June 2023, he joined Al-Taawoun on a free transfer. 2022 AFC U-23 Asian Cup
The 2022 AFC U-23 Asian Cup was the 5th edition of the AFC U-23 Asian Cup (prior to 2021 known as the AFC U-23 Championship), a biennial international age-restricted football championship organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) for the men's under-23 national teams of Asia. The players had to be born on or after 1 January 1999. The tournament was originally going to be held in Uzbekistan from 6–24 January 2022, but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and rescheduled to 1–19 June 2022. A total of 16 teams competed in the tournament. South Korea were the defending champions, but were eliminated by Japan in the quarter-finals, failing to finish among the top 4 for the first time. The AFC U-23 Asian Cup, previously the AFC U-22 Championship (in 2013) and AFC U-23 Championship (between 2016 and 2020), is a biennial international football competition organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) for the men's under-23 national teams of Asia. Each edition of the tournament that is in an even year is linked to the qualification process for the Olympic Games, whereby the top three teams in the tournament qualify directly and the fourth-placed team may enter an intercontinental play-off match depending on the slot allocations. The Saudi Super Cup () is the annual super cup tournament in Saudi Arabian football. Founded in 2013 as a two-team competition, the Super Cup has been contested by four teams since 2022: the winners and runners-up of the King's Cup and the Saudi Pro League.
