Wal (bass)
Wal is a brand of electric bass guitar manufactured by Electric Wood Ltd, first in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire and later in Fetcham, Surrey, England. The company was started in 1974 by a guitar builder and an electronics expert Ian Waller and luthier Pete Stevens. Since 2009, the company has been run by Paul Herman. History The company's founder, Ian Waller, was a bass player in the 1960s Manchester pop music scene. In the late 1960s he moved to London to pursue a career as an electronics engineer, and with his electronics and woodworking skills he quickly became involved in the film and music industry. He became known to players on the London session scene for his guitar-making abilities and was commissioned to build bass guitars. Waller's early custom basses were purchased by leading players from the London studio circuit, such as John Gustafson (at the time of Roxy Music) and John G. Hard Rock Cafe, Inc. is a chain of theme restaurant, theme bar-restaurants, memorabilia shops, casinos, hotels and museums founded in 1971 by Isaac Tigrett and Peter Morton in London. Geddy Lee Weinrib (; born Gary Lee Weinrib, July 29, 1953) is a Canadian musician, best known as the lead vocalist, bassist, and keyboardist for the Rock music, rock band Rush (band), Rush. Lee joined the band in September 1968 at the request of his childhood friend Alex Lifeson, replacing original bassist and frontman Jeff Jones (bassist), Jeff Jones. Lee's solo effort, ''My Favourite Headache'', was released in 2000. Bruce Thomas (musician)
Bruce Thomas (born 14 August 1948) is an English bass guitarist, best known as bassist for the Attractions; the band formed in 1977 to back Elvis Costello in concert and on record. In addition to his work with the Attractions, Thomas has recorded with Billy Bragg, John Wesley Harding, Suzanne Vega, and Tasmin Archer. Thomas has also been a nonfiction writer for several decades, and is the author of ''Bruce Lee: Fighting Spirit'' (1994), a biography of the renowned martial artist and movie star, and ''The Body of Time (and the Energies of Being),'' (1991), a short book about metaphysics. Musical Instrument Digital Interface (; MIDI) is an American-Japanese technical standard that describes a communication protocol, digital interface, and electrical connectors that connect a wide variety of electronic musical instruments, computers, and related audio devices for playing, editing, and recording music. A single MIDI cable can carry up to sixteen channels of MIDI data, each of which can be routed to a separate device. Each interaction with a key, button, knob or slider is converted into a MIDI event, which specifies musical instructions, such as a note's pitch, timing and velocity. One common MIDI application is to play a MIDI keyboard or other controller and use it to trigger a digital sound module (which contains synthesized musical sounds) to generate sounds, which the audience hears produced by a keyboard amplifier. Mahogany
Mahogany is a straight- grained, reddish-brown timber of three tropical hardwood species of the genus ''Swietenia'', indigenous to the AmericasBridgewater, Samuel (2012). ''Pterocarpus'' is a pantropical tree genus in the Fabaceae family. It belongs to the subfamily Faboideae, and was recently assigned to the informal monophyletic ''Pterocarpus'' clade within the Dalbergieae. Walnut

Percy Jones (musician)
Percy Jones (born 3 December 1947) is a Welsh bass guitarist best known as a member of the jazz rock ensemble Brand X, with whom he played during three stints: 1974 to 1980, 1992 to 1999, and 2016-2020, with the group ending shortly before the passing of their founding guitarist John Goodsall in 2021. Jones, who was born near Llandrindod Wells, has also done extensive work as a session musician, and has been active with other groups. He played with a trio called Stone Tiger (featuring guitarist Bill Frisell) in 1982/83. Jones was also one of the driving forces behind Tunnels, a fusion collective which released four albums between 1994-2006. While residing in New York, he also worked with the improvising group MJ12. Alan Spenner
Alan Henry Spenner (7 May 1948 – 11 August 1991) was an English bass player who performed with Wynder K. Frog, the Grease Band, Spooky Tooth, ABC, David Coverdale, David Soul, Joe Cocker, Kenny Loggins, Lynda Carter, Peter Frampton, Ted Nugent, Mick Taylor, China Crisis, Murray Head, Kokomo, Roxy Music, and played on the original 1970 concept album ''Jesus Christ Superstar''. Spenner played bass live at Woodstock in 1969 with Joe Cocker and the Grease Band and can be seen on ''The Woodstock Directors Cut'' DVD. In 1975, he played on Bryn Haworth's second studio album '' Sunny Side of the Street''. In August 1982, he played on Roxy Music's VHS/DVD '' The High Road'', filmed live in Fréjus, France.
