Wakehurst F.C.
Wakehurst Football Club are a Northern Ireland, Northern Irish, intermediate football (soccer), football club who currently play in the Ballymena & Provincial Football League. The club, founded in 1969, hails from Ballymena, although home matches are played at Moyola Park F.C., Moyola Park's ground at Mill Meadow. Wakehurst formerly played at the second pitch at the Ballymena Showgrounds, home of Ballymena United, but for 2009–10 this pitch was deemed not to meet the criteria for the Championship, and home games were played at the ground of Tobermore United F.C., Tobermore United in Tobermore, County Londonderry, for that season; Wakehurst moved to Castledawson for 2010–11. It is the club's intention eventually to return to Ballymena. Mill Meadow
Mill Meadow is a football stadium in Castledawson, County Londonderry, Northern Ireland. It is the home stadium of local football team Moyola Park F.C. It hosted its first competitive match on 16 January 2010, when Moyola Park hosted Lurgan Celtic in an IFA Championship 2 fixture. Moyola Park had previously played at the eponymous Moyola Park. The new ground includes a "3G" artificial pitch and was financed in part by a grant of £1.55m from Sport Northern Ireland, with other funding provided by Magherafelt District Council, the Trustees of the Chichester Club, the Moyola Park club itself and several individuals. The Northern Amateur Football League, also known as the Northern Amateur League and often simply as the Amateur League, is an association football league in Northern Ireland. It contains 13 divisions. These comprise four intermediate sections: the Premier Division, Division 1A, Division 1B and Division 1C; three junior sections: Division 2A, Division 2B and Division 2C; and six reserve sections.
