Wade Grant
Howard Wade Grant (Hunquminum: ; zh, t=志堅) is a Musqueam and Canadian politician. A member of the Liberal Party, he has represented Vancouver Quadra in the House of Commons since the 2025 federal election, and previously served as a Musqueam Indian Band councillor from 2004 to 2014. Education Grant studied political science at the University of British Columbia, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in 2002. Political career Grant served as a Musqueam Indian Band councillor from 2004 to 2014, and on the Vancouver Police Board from 2010 to 2014. From 2014 to 2017, he served as a special advisor on aboriginal issues to Christy Clark, the premier of British Columbia. He ran for Vancouver City Council in the 2018 municipal election and lost, coming in 29th place with 15,422 votes. The Ubyssey
''The Ubyssey'' is the University of British Columbia, University of British Columbia's official, independent student-run paper and is published bi-weekly on Tuesday. Founded on October 18, 1918, ''The Ubyssey'' is an independent publication funded by a $7.09 annual fee, from which certain students can opt out. The staff functions as a collective; current UBC students who have contributed to the paper and attend staff meetings are eligible to become staff members. The staff elects the full- and part-time editors on an annual basis. The Ubyssey Publications Society board and president, who deal chiefly with management of the business affairs and strategies of the paper and do not play any editorial role, are elected by the general student body annually at the AMS elections. Capacity building (or capacity development, capacity strengthening) is the improvement in an individual's or organization's facility (or capability) "to produce, perform or deploy". The terms capacity building and capacity development have often been used interchangeably, although a publication by Development Assistance Committee, OECD-DAC stated in 2006 that capacity development was the preferable term. ''Daily Hive'', formerly known as ''Vancity Buzz'', is a Canadian online newspaper based in Vancouver, British Columbia. The 2018 Vancouver municipal election was held on October 20, 2018, the same day as 2018 British Columbia municipal elections, other municipalities and regional districts in British Columbia selected their new municipal governments. Voters elected a List of mayors of Vancouver, mayor, 10 Vancouver City Council, city councillors, 7 Vancouver Park Board, park board commissioners, and 9 Vancouver School Board, school board trustees through plurality-at-large voting. Official registration for all candidates opened on September 4, 2018, and closed on September 14, 2018. For the first time, candidates were listed in random order instead of alphabetical order.
