Wacław Andrzej Martyniuk (pronounced ; born 10 November 1949 in Bytom) is a Polish politician. The 5th Sejm (lower house of the Parliament of Poland, Polish legislature) was elected on 25 September 2005 at the 2005 Polish parliamentary election. The term lasted between 19 October 2005 and 4 November 2007, two years before mandatory end of its four year term, as the chamber decided to Dissolution of parliament, dissolve itself on 7 September 2007. The Democratic Left Alliance () was a social democracy, social-democratic list of political parties in Poland, political party in Poland. It was formed on 9 July 1991 as an electoral alliance of centre-left politics, centre-left parties, and became a single party on 15 April 1999. The Sejm (), officially known as the Sejm of the Republic of Poland (), is the lower house of the bicameral parliament of Poland. The Sejm has been the highest governing body of the Third Polish Republic since the transition of government in 1989. Along with the upper house of parliament, the Senate, it forms the national legislature in Poland known as National Assembly ().
