WYPA (89.5 FM) is a non–commercial Christian worship formatted radio station licensed to serve Cherry Hill, New Jersey. The station is owned by Educational Media Foundation and is a member of the nationally syndicated Air1 radio network. WWFM (89.1 FM, "The Classical Network") is a classical music radio station owned and operated by Mercer County Community College (MCCC). The flagship station is licensed to the Trenton–Princeton market and operates from the West Windsor campus of MCCC. The Classical Network owns and operates WWFM, WWNJ (91.1 FM) in Toms River Township, WWCJ (89.1 FM) in Cape May, and WWPJ (89.5 FM) in Pen Argyl, Pennsylvania. It also broadcasts in the Philadelphia market on the second HD Radio channel of WYPA (89.5 FM) in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. HD multicasts WWFM-HD2 is "JazzOn2", which runs a traditional jazz format. WKVP (106.9 FM, "106.9 K-Love") is a non-commercial radio station licensed to Camden, New Jersey, serving the Philadelphia media market. The station is owned and operated by Educational Media Foundation and is an affiliate of K-Love, EMF's Christian adult contemporary music network. Its broadcast tower is located on Mount Ephraim Avenue in Camden. Station history MOR music to Family Radio The station signed on the air on December 31, 1959, as WKDN-FM. Easy listening (including mood music) is a popular music genre and radio format that was most popular during the 1950s to the 1970s. It is related to middle of the road (MOR) music and encompasses instrumental recordings of standards, hit songs, non- rock vocals and instrumental covers of selected popular rock songs. It mostly concentrates on music that pre-dates the rock and roll era, characteristically on music from the 1940s and 1950s. It was differentiated from the mostly instrumental beautiful music format by its variety of styles, including a percentage of vocals, arrangements and tempos to fit various parts of the broadcast day. Air1 is an American Christian radio network owned by the Educational Media Foundation (EMF), a non-profit Christian ministry. It primarily broadcasts contemporary worship music, and is a sister to the EMF's K-Love network. History On July 15, 1986, KLRD began broadcasting Christian hit/rock music from Yucaipa, California, and went by the on-air moniker K-LORD. In 1994, KXRD was started as a sister station to KLRD. In 1995, K-LORD changed its name to "Air1" and began broadcasting via satellite from St. Helens, Oregon. Air1 Radio (formerly K-LORD) was originally launched by K-LOVE founder Bob Anthony Fogal and Jon and Noonie Fuglar. In 1999, Air1 joined with EMF Broadcasting, and finally in 2002, it moved its headquarters to Rocklin, California. Family Radio is a non-profit Christian radio network based in Franklin, Tennessee, United States. Established in 1959, Family Radio airs Calvinist teaching and Christian music. The network is most widely known for its false Family Radio#Failed 2011 end times prediction, 2011 end times predictions. At one time the 19th largest broadcaster in the United States, with 216 radio stations, the number of stations in the network has dropped drastically following their failed end times predictions.
