WTVZ-TV (channel 33) is a television station licensed to Norfolk, Virginia, United States, serving the Hampton Roads area as an affiliate of MyNetworkTV. Owned by Sinclair Broadcast Group, the station maintains studios on Clearfield Avenue in Virginia Beach, and its transmitter is located in Suffolk, Virginia. WTVZ signed on September 24, 1979, as the second independent station in the Hampton Roads area. It was owned by a consortium of local investors known as the Television Corporation of Virginia. TVX Broadcast Group was an American media company that owned a group of mostly UHF television stations during the 1980s and early 1990s. TVX was established by local investors as the Television Corporation of Virginia, which built WTVZ-TV in Norfolk, Virginia, in 1979. WRLH-TV (channel 35), branded on-air as Fox Richmond, is a television station in Richmond, Virginia, United States, affiliated with the Fox network. Owned by Sinclair Broadcast Group, it has studios on Westmoreland Street in the North Side area of Richmond, and its transmitter is located at Bon Air near the studios of PBS member stations WCVE-TV and WCVW. WRLH-TV was the third station owned by the TVX Broadcast Group when it went on the air in 1982.
