WWVA (AM)
WWVA (1170 kHz, NewsRadio 1170) is an American AM radio station that broadcasts with studios in Wheeling, West Virginia. Its towers are located in St. Clairsville, Ohio. It is West Virginia's only class A 50,000–watt clear-channel station, sharing the frequency's Class A status with KTSB in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and KJNP in North Pole, Alaska. WWVA can be heard in most of the eastern two-thirds of the United States at night, as well as most of Canada. The station is owned by iHeartMedia, Inc. and uses the on-air nickname "The Big One" (borrowed from sister stations WLW and WTAM). WOLI (AM)
WOLI (910 kHz) is a Regional Mexican AM radio station located in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The station is licensed by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to broadcast with power of 3,600 watts in the daytime and 890 watts at night under separate directional signal patterns. History WSPA 950 AM signed on the air on February 17, 1930 as South Carolina's first radio station, beating out WCSC/Charleston and WIS/Columbia by several months. The station was owned by Virgil Evans during its first 10 years on the air. The station is currently owned by Iglesia Nueva Vida of High Point and operated by Core Communications. It simulcasts the urban contemporary radio format of WGIV (1370 AM). WDYT is powered at 25,000 watts by day. Because 1220 AM is a Mexican clear channel frequency, WDYT must greatly reduce power at night to 106 watts to avoid interference. The station is repeated in St. Augustine on translator W271CJ (102.1 FM).
