WQLR (94.7 FM) is a non-commercial religious radio station licensed to Chateaugay, New York. It is owned by the Educational Media Foundation and it airs EMF's national K-Love Contemporary Christian format. The station is a border blaster, targeting Greater Montreal and the Seaway River Valley. WQLR has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 11,000 watts. Its transmitter is on Old Hill Road in Ellenburg, New York, approximately southwest of Montreal. Its city-grade signal reaches the southwestern portion of Greater Montreal, while its Class C2 signal covers most of the largely English-speaking western neighborhoods of Montreal. Chateaugay ( ; ) is a town in Franklin County, New York, United States. Martz Communications Group is an American radio broadcasting company, which operates three radio stations in the St. Lawrence River area of New York and one in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The company, which also operates under the names Radio Power and Cartier Communications, is co-based in Parishville, New York and San Francisco, California; with auxiliary offices in Reno, Nevada; Burlington, Vermont; and Pointe-Claire, Quebec. Rouge FM
Rouge FM (or Rouge) is a network of French-language adult contemporary radio stations broadcasting throughout Quebec, Canada. Established in 1990 as RockDétente, they are owned by Bell Media. All "Rouge" stations broadcast in the same markets as Bell's mainstream rock network, "Énergie", although Énergie also has a few stations in markets not served by "Rouge FM". Although the stations concentrate on French adult contemporary music, it would mix in English music as well (especially in areas outside of Montreal and Ottawa, where English radio service is not available) much like Cogeco's "Rythme FM" network, which has fewer stations than "Rouge". The flagship radio station is Montreal's CITE-FM. CHEY-FM is a French-language radio station located in Trois-Rivières, Quebec, Canada. Owned and operated by Bell Media, it broadcasts on 94.7 MHz using a directional antenna with an average effective radiated power of 20,600 watts and a peak effective radiated power of 100,000 watts ( class C1). The station has an adult contemporary format since its inception, in 1990 and is part of the "Rouge FM" network which operates across Quebec and Eastern Ontario. It started operations in 1990 as a sister station to CHLN radio; that station is now owned by Cogeco. On August 18, 2011, at 4:00 p.m. EDT, the station ended its longtime 21-year run with the "RockDétente" branding. All "RockDétente" stations, including CHEY, rebranded as ''Rouge FM''. Ellenburg, New York
Ellenburg is a town in Clinton County, New York, United States. The population was 1,842 at the 2020 census. The town is named after the daughter of the principal proprietor. Ellenburg is on the western border of the county and is northwest of Plattsburgh. The southern part of the town is situated in the Adirondack Park. History The area was first settled around 1800. Ellenburg is named for Ellen Murray, the daughter of John R. Murray, a landowner. The town was formed from part of the town of Mooers in 1830.
