Licensed to West Point, Georgia, United States, the station is currently owned by San Antonio–based iHeartMedia, through licensee iHM Licenses, LLC, and features programming from Fox Sports Radio. History The station signed on in August 1958 as WBMK. It changed its call letters to WZZZ on December 1, 1976, and was assigned the call sign WPLV on January 1, 1988. On October 7, 1994, the station changed its call sign to WCJM, then on February 23, 1996, switched back to WPLV. In March 2003, Root Communications License Company, L.P., reached an agreement to sell this station to Qantum Communications subsidiary Qantum of Auburn License Company, LLC, as part of a 26 station deal valued at $82.2 million. West Point, Georgia
West Point is a city in Troup and Harris counties in the U.S. state of Georgia. It is located approximately halfway between Montgomery, Alabama and Atlanta along Interstate 85. As of the 2010 census, it had a population of 3,474, and in 2015 the estimated population was 3,728. Most of the city is in Troup County, which is part of the LaGrange Micropolitan Statistical Area, and hence part of the Atlanta- Athens-Clarke County-Sandy Springs, GA Combined Statistical Area. Patchogue (, ) is a village in Suffolk County, New York. The population was 11,798 at the time of the 2010 census. Patchogue is part of the town of Brookhaven, on the south shore of Long Island, adjoining Great South Bay. It is officially known as the ''Incorporated Village of Patchogue''. History Patchogue, which is approximately east of Manhattan, became incorporated in 1893. In 1812 there were 75 inhabitants in Patchogue according to ''The Brooklyn Eagle'', published in 1930. Because radio waves travel farther at night, the station reduces power to 102 watts at sunset to protect other stations on 1370 AM.
