Contemporary Christian Music
Contemporary Christian music (CCM), also known as Christian pop, and occasionally inspirational music, is a genre of modern popular music, and an aspect of Christian media, which is lyrically focused on matters related to the Christianity, Christian faith and stylistically rooted in Christian music. ''All I Really Want for Christmas'' is the second Christmas album and thirteenth studio album by Steven Curtis Chapman, released on September 27, 2005. The album includes traditional holiday favorites such as "Go Tell It on the Mountain" and "Silver Bells", as well as some of Chapman's own Christmas songs, some of which had appeared on his previous Christmas albums. Chapman's adopted daughter, Shaohannah, appears with her father on the album cover. On the first track, she reads the passage of the Nativity of Jesus (Luke 2:7-14) with the music of "The Night Before Christmas" (track 13) in the background. Brown Bannister
Elliott Brown Bannister III (born August 15, 1951) is a contemporary Christian music (CCM) producer and songwriter. Biography Bannister released one album of his own, ''Talk to One Another'', in 1981 on NewPax Records. It was reissued on the Reunion Records label five years later, featuring a newer recording of the album's final cut, "Create in Me a Clean Heart". The original NewPax version featured Ed DeGarmo on the Hammond B3 organ; the 1986 version featured Amy Grant and her then husband Gary Chapman (musician), Gary Chapman on vocals. The 1986 version was released as a radio single and gained moderate airplay in some markets. Bannister is best known for his work in the audio engineering, recording, and production industry. He formed his own independent label, Vireo Records, in 1991. Bannister has won 25 Dove Awards and 14 Grammy Awards. He also was inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame. Bart Millard
Bart Marshall Millard (born December 1, 1972) is an American singer and songwriter who is best known as the leader of the band MercyMe. He has also released two solo albums: '' Hymned, No. 1'', in 2005 and '' Hymned Again'' in 2008. He received a solo Grammy nomination in the category of Best Southern, Country, or Bluegrass Gospel Album for the latter album. Band career In high school, Millard wanted to become a football player, a dream which ended when he injured both ankles at a high school football game. As a result, Millard took choir as an elective. Millard's father, Arthur Wesley Millard Jr., died in 1991, during Bart's first year of college, and his youth pastor invited him to work with the church's youth group worship band. Tenth Avenue North
Tenth Avenue North is an American contemporary Christian music band from West Palm Beach, Florida. The band released a total of fifteen original music projects, including eight full-length studio albums (six of which reached the Billboard 200, including one which reached the top 10) and multiple RIAA gold singles. The group was formed while its founding members attended Palm Beach Atlantic University, taking its name from an east-west road in Palm Beach County. During its period of prominence, the band comprised Mike Donehey as the lead singer, Jason Jamison as the drummer, Jeff Owen as the guitarist, Ruben Juarez as the bassist, and Brendon Shirley as the keyboardist. In February 2020, they announced an amicable end to the band and that their upcoming tour would be their last, as the members wanted to spend more time with their families and pursue other career paths.
