''WOW 2000'' is a compilation album of 30 contemporary Christian music hits and four bonus tracks that was released on October 26, 1999. The album hit No. 29 on the Billboard 200, ''Billboard'' 200 chart in 1999, and No. 1 on the Top Contemporary Christian chart in both 1999 and 2000. It was certified as double platinum in the US in 2000 by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Contemporary Christian music (CCM), also known as Christian pop, and occasionally inspirational music, is a genre of modern popular music, and an aspect of Christian media, which is lyrically focused on matters related to the Christianity, Christian faith and stylistically rooted in Christian music. Jennifer Lynn Knapp (born April 12, 1974) is an American-Australian folk rock and contemporary Christian music singer-songwriter, author, and LGBTQ advocate. She is best known for her first single "Undo Me" from her Gold-certified debut studio album, ''Kansas'' (1998), and the song "A Little More" from her Grammy Award-nominated album, '' Lay It Down'' (2000). '' The Way I Am'' (2001) was also nominated for a Grammy. In total, the three albums have sold approximately 1 million copies. "Takes a Little Time" was a maxi-single released in 1997 (see 1997 in music) to promote Amy Grant's album '' Behind the Eyes'', which was also released that year. "Takes a Little Time" included two songs from ''Behind the Eyes'', as well as a new version of Grant's 1982 Christian radio hit, "El Shaddai El Shaddai (; ) or just Shaddai is one of the names of God in Judaism. LaRue was an American Christian music band formed by siblings Phillip and Natalie LaRue. The singer-songwriter duo originated in Nashville, Tennessee in 2000. Phillip was 17 and Natalie 15 when they came out with their first album ''LaRue''. The band worked together for a period of nearly three years before they broke up. The W's were a Christian ska and swing revival band, formed in Corvallis, Oregon in 1996. Burlap to Cashmere is a contemporary Christian world music band formed in the 1990s by John Philippidis and Steven Delopoulos. Their music draws heavily on folk and world music influences, especially Greek folk music. Background Burlap to Cashmere was formed in the winter of 1994 by cousins John Philippidis and Steven Delopoulos. The troupe was originally a college theater show that Steven Delopoulos put together for his final exam at Marymount Manhattan College, a theater and dance college which Delopoulos attended.
