WNRS (1420 kHz) is an AM radio station broadcasting a Spanish language tropical music format. Licensed to Herkimer, New York, United States, the station serves the Utica area. Owned by Arjuna Broadcasting Corp., the station also simulcasts on translator station W252DO at 98.3 FM. Since WNRS must greatly reduce power at sunset, the station also simulcasts in Rome on WKAL (1450 AM) and translator W277DR (103.3 FM) to serve the entire Utica-Rome market, hence its branding as . Good Time Oldies is a 24-hour music format offered to local radio stations across the country that was originally produced by Jones Radio Networks. After the sales of Jones Radio Networks to Dial Global in 2008, the format was absorbed into D.G.`s "Kool Oldies" format. However, due to radio stations demand, the Good Time Oldies format was brought to Dial Global. The format was programmed by program director Jon Holiday from 1994 through 2003. Good Time Oldies targets a key demographic of white men age 50 to 64. The majority of the network's playlist is from the 1960s and 70s with scattered tunes from the 50s and 80s. Scott Shannon's True Oldies Channel (also known more recently as ''The True Oldies Channel: Greatest Hits'') is a radio network begun in the spring of 2004. Originally distributed by ABC Radio Networks via satellite, the service plays a hybrid oldies/ classic hits format comprising music mostly from 1964 to 1979 but also plays selected cuts from the 1955-1963 era and also from the 1980s. As of September 22, 2016, it was distributed via United Stations Radio Networks. Since September 2023 it is distributed by Local Radio Networks.
