WLVN (104.9 MHz) is a radio station licensed to Woodbury, Tennessee, United States. Together with WLVU (97.1 FM), licensed to Belle Meade, it broadcasts the K-Love network of contemporary Christian music to the Nashville metropolitan area. History The station was established as a construction permit under the call sign of WLMM on August 23, 1991. The station would not officially sign on until June 1, 1994, under the call sign of WBOZ, and began broadcasting a Southern gospel format, branded as "Solid Gospel 105", in which it broadcast the national Solid Gospel format, which would later rebrand to Singing News Radio. The station was then considered to be the Flagship Station for the Network. Woodbury is a town in Cannon County, Tennessee, United States. Woodbury is part of the Nashville Metropolitan Statistical Area and is located southeast of downtown Nashville. The population of Woodbury was 2,680 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Cannon County. Geography Woodbury is a small town located near the center of Cannon County at (35.823644, -86.070268). It is in the valley of the East Fork of the Stones River, part of the Cumberland River watershed flowing through Nashville. Family Radio is a non-profit Christian radio network based in Franklin, Tennessee, United States. Established in 1959, Family Radio airs Calvinist teaching and Christian music. The network is most widely known for its false Family Radio#Failed 2011 end times prediction, 2011 end times predictions. At one time the 19th largest broadcaster in the United States, with 216 radio stations, the number of stations in the network has dropped drastically following their failed end times predictions. Air1 is an American Christian radio network owned by the Educational Media Foundation (EMF), a non-profit Christian ministry. It primarily broadcasts contemporary worship music, and is a sister to the EMF's K-Love network. History On July 15, 1986, KLRD began broadcasting Christian hit/rock music from Yucaipa, California, and went by the on-air moniker K-LORD. In 1994, KXRD was started as a sister station to KLRD. In 1995, K-LORD changed its name to "Air1" and began broadcasting via satellite from St. Helens, Oregon. Waverly, Tennessee
Waverly is a city in and the county seat of Humphreys County, Tennessee, United States. The population was 4,297 at the 2020 census. History Waverly was established by Steven Pavatt as a stop along the stagecoach road between Nashville and Memphis in the early 19th century. Pavatt was a fan of the author Sir Walter Scott, and named the community after Scott's Waverley Novels. When Humphreys County was created in 1803, Reynoldsburg, located northwest of Waverly along the Tennessee River, was chosen as the county seat. However, when county lands on the west bank of the Tennessee split off to become part of the newly created Benton County in 1835, the Humphreys County seat was moved to Waverly, which had become the more central location in the county.
