WKNH (91.3 FM, "Keene 91.3 FM") is a student-run radio station licensed to serve Keene, New Hampshire. The station is owned by Keene State College. KSC airs a college radio format. The WKNH studios are located on the third floor of the Young Student Center on the Keene State College campus. History The station started out as WKNH 89.1 FM - The Sound Alternative and was initially sponsored by long-time KSC staff member Lou Dumont. Early station managers like Lisa Mesce, Stephanie Hamitty and Ken Wilson built a foundation based on "creativity and excellence". Early music directors Steve Tyrrell and Bill Harris created open format programming allowing on-air personnel extensive creative control over programming. WKNH provided programming 7 days a week and 24 hours a day on the weekends. Al Dalton and Mark Barlow were the anchors of the weekend programming. Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin (SSLYBY) is an American indie pop band from Springfield, Missouri. They are named after Boris Yeltsin, the first President (government title), President of Russia after the breakup of the Soviet Union. Their first full-length album, ''Broom (album), Broom'', was independently released in 2005. They are now signed with Polyvinyl Record Co. Biography Will Knauer and Philip Dickey were friends in high school. Phil and John Robert Cardwell met in 2002 during their freshman year of college and started writing songs together. From 2002 to 2004, the group recorded demos at home and in their dorm rooms while playing local shows in Springfield and Columbia, Missouri. The group's first release was a split EP with the vocal duo Gwyn and Grace in 2004. Owen is the primary solo project of American indie rock and emo musician Mike Kinsella. The project features soft melodies and complex acoustics, combining acoustic guitar with keyboard, other guitars, vocals, and drums. Career Owen's debut album, '' Owen'', marked a departure from Mike Kinsella's previous projects. For the second album, '' No Good For No One Now'', Kinsella opted to purchase recording equipment instead of studio time. Say Anything is an American Rock music, rock band from Los Angeles, California. The band was formed in 2000 by Max Bemis and his friends, and within two years, they had self-released two EPs and a full-length album. In 2003, the band signed with their first label, Doghouse Records. A year later, they released their second album, ''...Is a Real Boy''. To support the album, they picked up new members and began touring; however, despite rapidly growing critical and fan acclaim, Bemis' health problems, including bipolar disorder and drug addictions, sidelined the band in 2005 as five band members left during the year. Maxim Adam Bemis (; born April 6, 1984) is an American musician, best known as the lead singer and primary songwriter of the rock band Say Anything (band), Say Anything. He sang alongside Chris Conley (musician), Chris Conley in the Supergroup (music), supergroup Two Tongues (which featured band members from Say Anything and Saves the Day). He plays alongside his former wife Sherri DuPree under the name Perma, and is a comic book writer, chiefly for Marvel Comics. Early life Bemis was born in New York City in 1984. His family moved to Hollywood, California when he was a child. Bemis took piano lessons which he credits for the realization that he wanted to make music.
