The station is currently broadcasting a sports radio, sports format, and is a sister station to WCNN (AM), WCNN "680 The Fan", running programming from ESPN Radio. History and ownership The station is duopoly (broadcasting), co-owned with AM radio stations WCNN (AM), WCNN AM 680 and WFOM (AM), WFOM AM 1230. All three stations are owned by Dickey Broadcasting, with studios adjacent to Truist Park in Cobb County. The station previously aired a Spanish language sports/talk format and a gospel music format. As WALR this station simulcast their former sister station WALR-FM (then known as "Kiss 104.7"). This station was a simulcast of WFOM on two occasions. Truist Park is a baseball stadium in the Atlanta metropolitan area, approximately 10 miles (16 km) northwest of downtown Atlanta in the unincorporated community of Cumberland, in Cobb County, Georgia. WLXF (105.5 FM) is a Christian radio station licensed to serve Macon, Georgia. It broadcasts a Contemporary Christian music format. History WDEN-FM The current 105.5 license began broadcasting at 105.3 MHz as WDEN-FM, Macon's second FM radio station, on June 10, 1968. It was the FM sister station to WDEN (1500 AM), a daytime-only country music outlet, and its full-time simulcast, additionally operating after local sunset. Georgian Terrace Hotel
The Georgian Terrace Hotel in Midtown Atlanta, part of the Fox Theatre Historic District, was designed by architect William Lee Stoddart in a Beaux-Arts style that was intended to evoke the architecture of Paris. Construction commenced on July 21, 1910, and ended on September 8, 1911, and the hotel opened on October 2, 1911. The George C. Fuller Construction Company was contractor, and the developer was Joseph F. Gatins, Jr. A 19-story wing, designed by Smallwood, Reynolds, Stewart, Stewart and Associates, was added in 1991. A major renovation was completed in 2009. The Georgian Terrace is a member of Historic Hotels of America, the official program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. WAKE is a Class D radio station broadcasting on the clear-channel frequency of 1500 kHz.
