WFRB (AM)
WFRB is a country formatted broadcast radio station licensed to Frostburg, Maryland, United States. Due to WFRB's low position on the dial, it covers most of Western Maryland, the Potomac Highlands of West Virginia, and parts of Southern Pennsylvania. WFRB is owned and operated by Forever Media, through licensee FM Radio Licenses, LLC. Programming Mornings were led by Quinn and Rose from nearby Pittsburgh station WPGB. Syndicated programs from Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, and Dennis Miller are also heard. Saturday programming, and programming after 7PM on weekdays consists of shows syndicated from the Fox Radio Network such as John Gibson, Alan Colms, and "Kilmeade and Friends". On Sundays, religious broadcasts are aired from 7AM to Noon, followed and preceded by talk shows from the Fox Radio Network. Quinn and Rose is a radio syndication, syndicated conservative talk radio program hosted by Jim Quinn and Rose Somma Tennent. Broadcasting from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the show currently airs in limited syndication from flagship station WPGB-HD2/WBGG (AM), WBGG in Pittsburgh during the morning drive time slot. Prior to 2013, the program aired on WPGB's main channel as its morning drive show and was syndicated to several affiliates, mostly in the northeastern United States. The series was abruptly canceled after the November 15, 2013 broadcast, with Clear Channel citing an inability to reach a contract extension, later suggestions indicating that Clear Channel budget cuts were at fault, and the show's affiliates claiming the duo was fired. WTBO is an oldies formatted broadcast radio station licensed to Cumberland, Maryland, serving Cumberland and Frostburg in Maryland and Keyser in West Virginia. WTBO is owned and operated by Forever Media. History On December 13, 1928, WTBO signed on for the first time. On December 26, 2006, Chazz Offutt collapsed and died, at the age of 66, during his daily morning show on WTBO and sister-station WFRB. On April 1, 2015, WTBO (after six hours of stunting with various versions of "Proud Mary") changed their format to Adult Contemporary, branded as "105.7 The River". WTBO and sister stations WFRB, WFRB-FM, and WKGO were sold by Dix Communications to Forever Media for $4 million on September 3, 2015. Mountain Ridge High School is a high school in Frostburg, Maryland, United States, that houses over 1000 students from the Georges Creek Valley, the Greater Frostburg vicinity, and the Westernport region. Mountain Ridge is part of Allegany County Public Schools. The school mascot is a ''miner'' and the school colors are red, black, white and gold. History Mountain Ridge High School was established as a result of the consolidation of Westmar High School and Beall High School. It cost $40 million to build. The doors of Mountain Ridge opened in 2007.
