WCT Tallinn Mixed Doubles International
The WCT Tallinn Mixed Doubles International is an annual mixed doubles curling tournament on the ISS Mixed Doubles World Curling Tour. It is held annually in mid-September at the Tondiraba Ice Hall in Tallinn, Estonia. The purse for the event is € 3,325 and its event categorization is 300 (the highest calibre is 1000). The event has been held since 2016. Marie Turmann
Marie Kaldvee (born 23 January 1995 as Marie Turmann) is an Estonian curler from Järveküla, Estonia. Career Juniors Turmann played for the Estonian team at the 2012 Youth Winter Olympics, playing third on the team, which finished in last place. In the mixed doubles event, she was paired with Italy's Alessandro Zoppi. They would be eliminated after losing their only game. After playing in five European Junior Curling Challenges Turmann finally qualified for the World Junior Curling Championships in 2015. Turmann would skip the Estonian team there, with teammates Kerli Zirk, Kerli Laidsalu and Johanna Ehatamm. The team finished the event with a 2–7 round robin record, missing the playoffs. In her last year of junior eligibility, Turmann led Estonia to a fourth-place finish at the 2016 World Junior B Curling Championships. Jayne Stirling
Jayne Stirling is a Scottish curling, curler from Stirling. After winning the 2017 Scottish mixed doubles championship, Stirling and partner Fraser Kingan represented Scotland at the 2018 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship. The pair had a 6-1 record in pool play, tied for first in their group. In the playoffs, they lost in the round of 16 to Japan, but won their next three placement games to finish 9th overall. On the World Curling Tour, Stirling and Kingan won the International Mixed Doubles Dumfries and Latvian Mixed Doubles Curling Cup 2 events in 2018. Niklas Edin
Johan Niklas Edin (born 6 July 1985) is a Swedish curler. He holds several sport distinctions. He is the first and the only skip in World Curling Federation (WCF) history to win three Olympic medals – gold (2022), silver (2018), and bronze (2014). He is also the only curler to skip men's curling teams to seven World Men's Curling Championship gold medals (2013, 2015, 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2024). Tomáš Paul
Tomáš Paul (born 3 April 1988 in Prague) is a Czech curling, curler. Curling career Men's Playing of Charles University, Paul has played in two Winter Universiades. The first was the 2011 Winter Universiade, where Paul threw second stones for the Czech team, skipped by Lukáš Klíma (curler), Lukáš Klíma, winning a bronze medal. He played in the 2013 Winter Universiade as well, with Klíma skipping. They had less success, finishing in 7th place. Paul first played for the Czech national team at the men's level at the 2015 European Curling Championships, playing second for the team skipped by David Šik. The team finished in 9th place. Zuzana Paulová (born 28 January 1993 as Zuzana Hájková) is a Czech curler. Curling career Women's As a junior curler, Paulová represented the Czech Republic in four World Junior Curling Championships. Her first trip there was the 2010 World Junior Curling Championships throwing lead rocks for Anna Kubešková. The team finished in 8th place. Hájková returned to the World Juniors in 2012, skipping a team of Iveta Janatová, Klára Svatoňová and Eva Málková while throwing third stones. The team posted a 6-3 round robin record, putting them in second place. In the playoffs, they lost in the 1 vs. 2 game to Scotland (skipped by Hannah Fleming) but won their semifinal game against Sweden's Sara McManus rink, putting them into the final. Kevin Wunderlin (born 17 December 1991) is a Swiss curler. He currently skips the Biel/Bienne curling team on the World Curling Tour. Wunderlin's first international curling experience came at the 2013 European Mixed Curling Championship, when Wunderlin played second for the Swiss team, skipped by Marc Pfister. The team would top their group in the group stage of the event, with a 6-1 record. However, they lost in the quarterfinals to Hungary. On the World Curling Tour, Wunderlin has won two career events. Martin Rios (born 24 May 1981) is a Spanish-Swiss curler. He competed in the 2018 Winter Olympics in the mixed doubles tournament with partner Jenny Perret, winning a silver medal. He is two-time (2012, 2017) World Mixed Doubles Champion and 2011 European Mixed Champion. At the 2012 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship he was partnered with Nadine Lehmann and at the 2017 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship he was paired with Perret. Rios also won a bronze medal at the 2014 European Mixed Curling Championship. In addition to representing his native Switzerland, Rios has twice represented Spain internationally, at the 2007 and the 2008 European Curling Championships.
