WASP-161b
WASP-161, also named Tislit, is an F-type main-sequence star about away in the constellation Puppis. With an apparent magnitude of 11.1, it is much too faint to be visible to the naked eye. It hosts one known exoplanet. Nomenclature The designation ''WASP-161'' comes from the Wide Angle Search for Planets. This was one of the systems selected to be named in the 2019 NameExoWorlds campaign during the 100th anniversary of the IAU, which assigned each country a star and planet to be named. This system was assigned to Morocco; it was chosen because it hosts the first exoplanet with a discovery team led by a Moroccan astronomer. The approved names were Tislit for the star and Isli for the planet; they are named after the Tislit and Isli lakes in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco, near Imilchil. Wide Angle Search For Planets
WASP or Wide Angle Search for Planets is an international consortium of several academic organisations performing an ultra-wide angle search for exoplanets using transit photometry. The array of robotic telescopes aims to Astronomical survey, survey the entire sky, simultaneously monitoring many thousands of stars at an apparent visual magnitude from about 7 to 13. WASP is the detection program composed of the Isaac Newton Group, Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias, IAC and six universities from the United Kingdom. The two continuously operating, robotic observatories cover the Northern and Southern Hemisphere, respectively. SuperWASP-North is at Roque de los Muchachos Observatory on the mountain of that name which dominates La Palma in the Canary Islands. An F-type main-sequence star (F V) is a main-sequence, hydrogen-fusing star of spectral type F and luminosity class V. These stars have from 1.0 to 1.4 times the mass of the Sun and surface temperatures between 6,000 and 7,600  K.Tables VII and VIII. Transit-timing Variation
Transit-timing variation is a method for detecting exoplanets by observing variations in the timing of a transit. This provides an extremely sensitive method capable of detecting additional planets in the system with masses potentially as small as that of Earth. In tightly packed planetary systems, the gravitational pull of the planets among themselves causes one planet to accelerate and another planet to decelerate along its orbit. The acceleration causes the orbital period of each planet to change. Detecting this effect by measuring the change is known as transit-timing variations.
