Víctor Coreas
Víctor Manuel Coreas Privado (born 30 March 1963 in Quelepa) is a former Salvadoran professional football player and currently manager. He is the brother of former international player Salvador Coreas Privado. Club career Coreas has spent his playing career at Vendaval, Águila and Municipal Limeño. International career Coreas has represented El Salvador in 1 FIFA World Cup qualification match, against the United States in November 1989. Managerial career Municipal Limeño After retiring as a player at Municipal Limeño, Coreas was assistant coach at the club. Vista Hermosa He then worked at Vista Hermosa between 2007 and 2009, before being sacked and returned to Municipal Limeño in August 2009 to replace Miguel Aguilar Obando. Quelepa
Quelepa is an important archaeological site located in eastern El Salvador. Generally considered to have been settled by the Lenca people, the site was founded around 400 BC in the Late Preclassic period (500 BC - AD 250). The inhabitants constructed a platform from plaster and pumice and rebuilt it a number of times. Artefacts recovered during the excavations of the site indicate that the local population depended upon subsistence agriculture, these artefacts included '' metates'' (a kind of mortar) and '' comales'' (a type of griddle). The site belonged to the Mesoamerican cultural region. Quelepa means "stone jaguar" in the Lenca language, probably in reference to the large Jaguar Altar found at the site. Throughout its occupational history, the inhabitants crafted stone tools from obsidian. San Miguel, El Salvador
San Miguel () is a city in eastern El Salvador. It is the country's third most populous city. It is located 138 km east of the capital, San Salvador. It is also the capital of the department of San Miguel and a municipality. The population of the city in 2017 was 518,410. History Luis de Moscoso Alvarado established the village of San Miguel de la Frontera (Saint Michael of the Frontier) on May 8, 1530, as a bastion for the conquest of the Lenca kingdom of Chaparrastique (Place of Beautiful Orchids). By 1586 the village had obtained the title of city. In 1655, a volcanic eruption almost destroyed the entire city. According to legend, the devastation was so severe that only an image of Mary in the parish church was spared.
