The Vuelta del Paraguay is the most important road bicycle race in the State of Paraguay. The first edition of the race was held in 1993. It was organized as a 2.2 event on the UCI America Tour in 2010. The race has not been held since 2014. Paraguay (; ), officially the Republic of Paraguay ( es, República del Paraguay, links=no; gn, Tavakuairetã Paraguái, links=si), is a landlocked country in South America. A race stage, leg, or heat is a unit of a race that has been divided in several parts for the reason such as length of the distance to be covered, as in a multi-day event. Usually, such a race consists of "ordinary" stages, but sometimes stages are held as an individual time trial or a team time trial.
