''Voodoo Moon'' is a 2006 horror film written and directed by comic book artist and writer Kevin VanHook. It aired as a Sunday night movie on the Sci-Fi channel on June 4, 2006. Plot synopsis A demonic being destroys an entire town, save a young boy and his sister. Twenty years later, the sister is an artist with psychic abilities and her brother has grown obsessed with tracking down the demon who took out his town. Kevin VanHook (born June 24, 1965) is an American comic book writer, comic book artist, visual effects supervisor, and filmmaker. Career In comics, VanHook is best known creating the character Bloodshot for Valiant Comics. He also wrote the ''Flash Gordon'' comic strip from May 16, 1993 to January 2, 1994. In 1996, he made his first short film, ''Drifter''. In 1998, he began filming ''Frost: Portrait of a Vampire'' while founding a visual effects company, VanHook Studios. ''Frost'' was completed in 2001 and released on DVD in 2003, where it became the 18th highest grossing DVD premiere that year. In 2002, VanHook Studios merged with Film Roman, the animation company best known for animating ''The Simpsons''. Geoffrey Bond Lewis (July 31, 1935 – April 7, 2015) was an American character actor. He appeared in more than 200 films and television shows, and was principally known for his film roles alongside Clint Eastwood and Robert Redford. He typically portrayed villains or quirky characters. He played a bodyguard in the Jean-Claude van Damme film ''Double Impact''.
