Volzhsky, Volgograd Oblast
Volzhsky or Volzhskiy ( rus, Волжский, p=ˈvoɫʂskʲɪɪ̯) is an industrial town in Volgograd Oblast, Russia, located on the east bank of the Volga River and its distributary the Akhtuba River, Akhtuba, northeast of Volgograd. Population: History Volzhsky was founded in 1951. It had a population of about 10,000 at that time. On July 22, 1954, by Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the RSFSR, the village of Volzhsky became the city of Volzhsky, in connection with the construction of the Stalingrad HPP (1950-1961). Lianyungang () is a prefecture-level city in northeastern Jiangsu province of China, province, China. Collegno (; ) is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Metropolitan City of Turin in the Italian region Piedmont, located about west of Turin. Cleveland Heights is a city in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, United States. The population was 45,312 at the 2020 census. One of Cleveland's historic streetcar suburbs, it was founded as a village in 1903 and a city in 1921. History The area that is now the city of Cleveland Heights lies atop the Portage Escarpment. Until the late 1800s, the area remained largely timber and farmland, with a few orchards, quarries, and vineyards. The first road through the city, Mayfield Road, was not built until 1828.
