Volodymyr Moroz
Volodymyr Viktorovych Moroz (; 24 October 1967 – 21 April 2025) was a Ukrainian businessman and politician who served as a People's Deputy of Ukraine from Ukraine's 59th electoral district from 29 August 2019 until his death. Elected as member of Opposition Platform — For Life, he later become a member of Restoration of Ukraine from 2022. Background Volodymyr Viktorovych Moroz was born on 24 October 1967 in the city of Kurakhove in the Donetsk Oblast of what was then the Soviet Union. From 1988 to 1992, he worked at Kurakhove Power Station before working as a welder at the "Ecology" company in Kurakhove. In 1997, he became deputy supply director at the Kurakhove-based company DonAhroServis ATZT, and in 2000 he moved to KurakhovEnerhoBud BMU, where he served as deputy director. People's Deputy Of Ukraine
A people's deputy of Ukraine (, ) is a member of parliament and legislator elected by Direct election, popular vote to the Verkhovna Rada, the parliament of Ukraine. They are often referred to simply as "deputies". Prior to 1991, the Verkhovna Rada had been called the Supreme Council of People's Deputies of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic. Statutes concerning elections and the rights and duties of deputies are outlined in Articles 76 - 81 of the Constitution of Ukraine. Ukraine's parliament has 450 seats. Deputies may be appointed to various parliamentary positions such as Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, chairperson (speaker) of the Verkhovna Rada, a head of a committee or a parliamentary faction, etc. Upon taking office, each deputy receives a deputy mandate. Kurakhove Power Station
Kurakhove Power Station () was a thermal power plant on Volycha river from Kurakhove in Donetsk Oblast, Ukraine. By November 2024, it was decommissioned and largely destroyed by Russian forces during the Battle of Kurakhove. By early January 2025, the power plant was captured by Russia. History Construction in the Soviet Union During the First five-year plan (Soviet Union), first five-year plan, the Soviet government adopted a resolution to build a new power plant in the Donbas, in the south of Krasnoarmiiskyi (now Pokrovsk Raion).
