Volbeat Members
Volbeat are a Danish rock band formed in Copenhagen in 2001. They play a fusion of rock and roll and heavy metal. Their current line-up consists of vocalist and rhythm guitarist Michael Poulsen, drummer Jon Larsen, and bassist Kaspar Boye Larsen. The band is signed to Dutch label Mascot Records and has released nine studio albums and one DVD. Their second album '' Rock the Rebel/Metal the Devil'' received platinum status, and their 2010 release ''Beyond Hell/Above Heaven'' was subject to widespread international critical acclaim, receiving triple platinum in Denmark and Austria, double platinum in Sweden, platinum in Canada, 5× Gold in Germany, and gold in both Finland and the United States. Michael Poulsen
Michael Schøn Poulsen (born 1 April 1975) is a Danish musician. He is the lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist and main songwriter of the rock band Volbeat. Prior to Volbeat, he was the vocalist for the death metal band Dominus. Early life Poulsen grew up in Ringsted, Denmark, which is about a from Copenhagen, in a working-class family. He has a twin sister and two older sisters, who are also twins. His parents were big fans of Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash, and Chuck Berry. As a teenager, he listened to bands like Metallica, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Slayer, Whitesnake, Deep Purple, Iced Earth and Black Sabbath. Career At the age of 17, Poulsen moved to Copenhagen and formed his first band Dominus. He stated a major influence during this period was Chuck Schuldiner and his band Death. Thomas Bredahl
Thomas Bredahl (born 2 November 1980) is a Danish guitarist and singer. He was lead guitarist of the rock band Volbeat and is now the guitarist of Gob Squad. Bredahl joined Volbeat in 2006, and the band announced his departure in November 2011. He was the successor of Franz Gottschalk, who was fired by Volbeat after the recording of their second album '' Rock the Rebel / Metal the Devil'' was completed. After Volbeat, Bredahl worked again with Gob Squad, where he was the lead singer. In present, he is partner and manager at Heartbeat Management. The Roskilde Festival is a Danish music festival held annually south of Roskilde. It is one of the largest music festivals in Europe and the largest in the Nordic countries. It was created in 1971 by two high school students and a promoter. ''God of Angels Trust'' is the ninth studio album by Danish rock band Volbeat. It was released on 6 June 2025 through Vertigo Records, Republic Records, and Universal Records. The album was preceded by the lead single "By a Monster's Hand" on 7 March 2025. It marks their first studio album following the departure of guitarist Rob Caggiano in June 2023. Background and recording In June 2023, guitarist Rob Caggiano left the band after ten years, leaving the band as a trio.
