Vogler (hill Range)
The Vogler is a range of hills, up to 460.4 m high, in the Weser Uplands in southern Lower Saxony (Germany). Together with the Solling, the Vogler forms the Solling-Vogler Nature Park which lies a couple of kilometres further south. Geography The Vogler is located in the district of Holzminden between the hills of the Ith to the north, the Hils to the northeast, the Homburg Forest to the east, the Amtsberge to the southeast, the Solling to the south and the Burgberg to the south-southwest. It also lies in the triangle formed by the towns of Bevern, Bodenwerder and Eschershausen. The River Weser flows by the Vogler to the west heading north to the North Sea. To the north the Lenne, a western tributary of the Weser runs past in a northwesterly direction. The Vogler drops steeply to the Weser through a height of 220 m. Vogler Quartet
The Vogler Quartet is a German string quartet based in Berlin. It was founded in 1985 and has been playing together with an unchanged line-up since 1986. History Together with the Petersen Quartet, also based in East Berlin, it was one of the most important young ensembles in the GDR at the time, after the musicians won the France in May 1986 with multiple prizes. The quartet received artistic impulses from, among others, the LaSalle Quartet, the Guarneri Quartet, Sándor Végh and György Kurtág. The quartet now performs internationally in all major music centres and at important festivals. Since 1993, it has been organising its own series in the Konzerthaus Berlin. The musicians' extensive repertoire covers all epochs and styles. Vogler Peak
Roa Ridge () is a bow-shaped ridge, long in the Asgard Range of Victoria Land, Antarctica. For much of its extent, it separates Matterhorn Glacier and Lacroix Glacier. Named by New Zealand Geographic Board (NZGB) in 1998. ''Roa'' is a Maori word meaning “long” ridge. Features From northwest to southeast, summits on the ridge include Vogler Peak, Mount Irvine, Hoehn Peak, Webb Peak and Matterhorn.
