Vladyslav Savieliev
Vladyslav Mykhailovych Savieliev (, (August 14, 1996 — 2 June 2023, near Pokrovsk, Donetsk Oblast) was a Ukrainian military pilot of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Major, a participant in the Russian-Ukrainian war, who died during the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Early life and education He was born on August 14, 1996 in the city of Kropyvnytskyi in a family of military personnel. He graduated from in Kropyvnytskyi and then studied at the Ivan Kozhedub National Air Force University, graduating with honors in 2019. Military career and death Savieliev participated in the Joint Forces Operation in eastern Ukraine. For two years, Savieliev took a basic flight training course on the T-6A Texan II turboprop trainer at Columbus Air Force Base. During the Russian invasion of Ukraine, he was a fighter pilot with the 40th Tactical Aviation Brigade. Kropyvnytskyi
Kropyvnytskyi (, ) is a city in central Ukraine, situated on the Inhul, Inhul River. It serves as the administrative center of Kirovohrad Oblast. Population: Over its history, Kropyvnytskyi has changed its name several times. The settlement was known as Yelysavethrad after Empress Elizabeth of Russia from 1752 to 1924, or simply Elysavet. In 1924, as part of the Soviet Union, it became known as Zinovievsk after the revolutionary Grigory Zinoviev, who was born there. Following the assassination of Sergei Kirov in 1934, the town was renamed Kirovo. Concurrently with the formation of Kirovohrad Oblast on 10 January 1939, and to distinguish it from Kirov Oblast in central Russia, Kirovo was renamed Kirovohrad. As part of independent Ukraine, the name of the city was then changed to ''Kropyvnytskyi'' in 2016 due to Decommunization in Ukraine, decommunization laws, in honour of Marko Kropyvnytskyi, who was born near the city.

The Joint Direct Attack Munition (JDAM) is a guidance kit that converts unguided bombs, or "dumb bombs", into all-weather precision-guided munitions (PGMs). JDAM-equipped bombs are guided by an integrated inertial guidance system coupled to a Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver, giving them a published range of up to . Stepan Ivanovych Tarabalka (; 9 January 1993 – 13 March 2022), in English media also referred to as Stephen Tarabalka, was a Ukrainian military officer, a pilot and a major in the Ukrainian Air Force. Oleksandr Yakovych Oksanchenko (; 26 April 1968 – 25 February 2022), nicknamed the Grey Wolf, was a Ukrainian fighter pilot and city councilor in Myrhorod.
