Vasily Sergeyevich Vladimirov (; 9 January 1923 – 3 November 2012) was a Soviet and Russian mathematician working in the fields of number theory, mathematical physics, quantum field theory, numerical analysis, generalized functions, several complex variables, p-adic analysis, multidimensional Tauberian theorems. Life Vladimirov was born to a peasant family of 5 children, in 1923, Petrograd. Under the impact of food shortage and poverty, he began schooling in 1930. He then went to a 7-year school in 1934, but transferred to the Leningrad Technical School of Hydrology and Meteorology in 1937. In 1939, at the age of sixteen, he enrolled into a night preparatory school for workers, and finally successfully progressed to Leningrad University to study physics. Boris Vladimirov
Boris Alexandrovich Vladimirov (; 14 April 1905 1 May 1978) was a Soviet Army lieutenant general and a Hero of the Soviet Union. Vladimirov served in the Russian Civil War after being drafted into the Red Army in 1921. He became an officer and by 1941 was a deputy regimental commander. After the German invasion of the Soviet Union, Vladimirov successively became senior officer in charge of the formation of march battalions in the Siberian Military District, chief of staff of a ski brigade, and a rifle brigade. He commanded the rifle brigade in the Siege of Leningrad, during the Lyuban Offensive Operation and the Sinyavino Offensive. Vladimirov took command of the 311th Rifle Division in March 1943, leading it until the end of the war. He was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union for his leadership in the Vistula–Oder Offensive. Yuri Kuzmich Vladimirov (; 1 January 1942 – 19 May 2025) was a Russian Bolshoi Ballet dancer. He became one of the troupe's leading soloists, often dancing with his wife Nina Sorokina. They achieved prizes at international competitions. He portrayed various title roles such as Sergei Slonimsky's ''Icarus'', Richard Strauss's ''Don Quixote'' and especially ''Ivan the Terrible'' in 1975, which was created for him by choreographer Yury Grigorovich to music by Prokofiev, shown on tour at the Metropolitan Opera and filmed. Vladimirov was regarded as "the wild card" of the Bolshoi, for daring leaps and psychological portrayal of complex characters. Joseph Vladimirov () (active 1642–1666) was a Russian painter and art theorist of the 17th century. Biography Vladimirov was born in Yaroslavl to iconographer Vladimir Titov. He grew up in the settlement Tolchkovo, in the parish of St. John the Baptist Church, Yaroslavl. In 1646, he lived in the Spasskaya Sloboda with his brother Sava, a priest of the church of Peter of Kiev. In the years 1642-1644 he was summoned to Moscow and participated in the execution of the paintings for the Assumption Cathedral of the Kremlin. It is known that he was the one to paint icons for the Kremlin Armoury.
