Vladimir Četkar () is a Macedonian recording artist, composer, arranger, producer, guitarist and vocalist who is based in New York City. He was born in Ohrid, Republic of Macedonia where, in his childhood, he played the violin. He was greatly influenced by such jazz, funk, soul and disco bands and musicians as Change, Chic, Earth Wind and Fire, Patrice Rushen, Cameo, The Brothers Johnson, Wes Montgomery, George Benson, Quincy Jones, Jamiroquai and many more. Later in life, Vladimir came to the United States to attend Berklee College of Music. There, he focused on contemporary writing and production with the jazz guitar as his main instrument. His critically acclaimed, original album releases 'We Will Never End', 'Heavenly' and 'Going Home' have positioned him Internationally as one of the most distinguished names in the Jazz-Soul-Funk genre and have ensured an active touring schedule headlining performances at some of the largest and most prestigious music festivals in the world ... Ohrid Summer Festival
The Ohrid Summer Festival () is a festival founded on 4 August 1961, always taking place between 12 July and 20 August in the city of Ohrid, North Macedonia. Originally, the event was initiated and it played important role in efforts of the Socialist Republic of Macedonia to emancipate and promote Macedonian culture in SFR Yugoslavia and abroad after decades of underfunding, neglect by states that encompassed Macedonia or outright suppression. The event is funded by the Ministry of Culture of North Macedonia and sponsors. The President of North Macedonia is the patron of the festival. The festival has featured prominent artists since 1961, such as José Carreras. Since 1994, the festival has been a member of the European Festivals Association. P-Vine Records is an independent record label based in Tokyo, Japan. History It was started in 1976 by Blues Interactions, a firm founded in 1975 by Yasufumi Higurashi and Akira Kochi, as a record label focused on black music. The label name comes from the "Peavine Branch" of the Mississippi Yazoo and Mississippi Valley Railroad sung in blues songs by Charley Patton and Big Joe Williams. In the early years, the label focused on blues and R&B but gradually expanded to wider genres such as jazz, Latin, funk, j-pop, house music, and garage punk. Christophe Le Friant (; born 10 May 1969), better known by his stage name Bob Sinclar (), is a French record producer, DJ, and remixer. He is the owner of the record label Yellow Productions. Musical career A native of Paris, Le Friant began DJing in the 1980s under the name Chris the French Kiss. During this time he was more influenced by hip hop music, hip hop and jazz music and created music projects such as The Mighty Bop and Reminiscence Quartet, the latter with an ensemble of musicians and where Le Friant used the alias Desmond K. In 1998 Le Friant adopted name of Bob Sinclar after the titular character from the 1973 film ''Le Magnifique''. He became known for popularising the French house, "French touch" of house music with heavy use of sample (music), sampled and filtered disco strings. Tom Moulton
Thomas Jerome Moulton (, ; born November 29, 1940) is an American record producer. He experimented with remix in disco music and this led to its wide adoption as a standard practice in the industry. He also invented the breakdown section, and the twelve-inch single vinyl format in the process. Life and career Moulton was born in Schenectady, New York, United States, as the oldest of five children to parents who both were jazz musicians. He worked as a model at the Bookings and Ford agencies before beginning his production career. Before that, he had worked in the music industry, firstly as a child working part-time in record shops, then holding a sales and promotion job at King Records (from 1959 to 1961), and similar positions at RCA and United Artists.
