Vladimir Mischouk (born 1968 in Saint Petersburg) is a Russian classical pianist, Honoured Artist of Russia. Career The pianist entered in 1975 at the Music School of the Saint Petersburg Conservatory The N. A. In 1990 he won the 2nd prize at the Tchaikovsky International Competition, as well as the " Rosina Lhévinne" special prize. Vladimir Mischouk gives more than 100 concerts annually in Russia, United States, countries of Europe and Asia. Vladimir Mischouk performs with world-known orchestras. Vladimir Mischouk teaches at the St.Petersburg Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire and since 2009 is also professor at the International Piano Academy Lake Como. Tchaikovsky International Competition
The International Tchaikovsky Competition is a classical music competition held every four years in Moscow and Saint Petersburg, Russia, for pianists, violinists, and cellists between 16 and 32 years of age and singers between 19 and 32 years of age. The competition is named after Russian composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. It was a member of the World Federation of International Music Competitions until April 2022, when it was excluded due to the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine. Rosina Lhévinne
Rosina Lhévinne (née Bessie; March 29, 1880 – November 9, 1976) was a Russian pianist and famed pedagogue born in Kyiv, Russian Empire. Early life, education and family Rosina Bessie was the younger of two daughters of Maria (née Katz) and Jacques Bessie, a prosperous jeweller from a Dutch Jewish family who emigrated to the Russian Empire to ply his trade as a diamond merchant. There were violent anti-Semitic riots in Kyiv during her first year, and the Bessies moved to Moscow in 1881 or 1882. The young Rosina began studying piano at the age of six with a teacher in Moscow, where the family had moved shortly after her birth. When her teacher became ill, a family friend suggested that she continue her studies with Josef Lhévinne, a talented student at the Moscow Imperial Conservatory, five years older than Rosina.
