Vladimir Dubossarsky
Vladimir Dubossarsky (russian: Владимир Дубосарский) (1964) is a Russian painter working in pop art genre. Since 1994 he performs in an art duet with Alexander Vinogradov. Both live and work in Moscow, Russia. In the early part of their career together they adopted the style of socialist realism, an officially sanctioned art practice under the soviet regime. Their early works resembled posters for non-existent thrillers and sleazy porn flicks. They worked with their idea of social order, laborers, collective farmers, etc. and put a modern twist on an outdated practice. Their result was a collection of ideas and themes that would make socialistic fantasies visible to the viewer. In 2001, Dubosarsky and Vinogradov made a transition from the socialist fantasy to the ideals of mass media. Scheringa Museum Voor Realisme
Scheringa Museum of Realist Art (until 2005, Frisia Museum) was a museum in Spanbroek, North Holland, the Netherlands that housed around five hundred works of the 20th-century art mainly realist art and contemporary. It opened in February 1997 and closed in 2009. After the DSB Bank went bankrupt, the collection was retained by ABN AMRO as a guarantee, and this forced the closure of the museum. Later, the collection passed to the Deutsche Bank, which decided to sell it to an undisclosed individual for 14 million Euro. The plans were stopped in 2011 by a court in Amsterdam, which decided that the price was too low. In March 2012, the Dutch part of the collection was bought by Hans Melchers. Moscow Manege
The Moscow Manege ( rus, Мане́ж, p=mɐˈnʲeʂ, a=Ru-манеж.ogg) is an oblong building along the west side of Manege Square, which was cleared in the 1930s and lies adjacent to Red Square. It is the site of Moscow Design Museum since 2012. Designed by Spanish engineer Agustín de Betancourt with a roof without internal support for (the building's width), it was erected from 1817 to 1825 by the Russian architect Joseph Bové, who clothed it in its Neoclassical exterior, an order of Roman Doric columns enclosing bays of arch-headed windows in a blind arcade, painted white and cream yellow. The roof, with its internal rafters and beams exposed, rests on external columns of the Manege.
