Vixen (comics)
Vixen is a superhero created by Gerry Conway and Bob Oksner. She first appeared in ''Action Comics'' #521 (July 1981), published by DC Comics. Through the Tantu Totem, which allows her to harness the spirit ('' ashe'') of any animal, past or present, and use their abilities. Two versions of the character appeared in The CW's Arrowverse. Original comic book character Mari McCabe debuted in the CW Seed animated series ''Vixen'', voiced by Megalyn Echikunwoke, who also reprised her role in an episode of the live-action parent series, ''Arrow''. ''Legends of Tomorrow'' introduced a World War II-era Vixen and Mari's grandmother, Amaya Jiwe, portrayed by Maisie Richardson-Sellers. De Havilland Sea Vixen
The de Havilland DH.110 Sea Vixen is a British twin-engine, twin boom-tailed, two-seat, carrier-based fleet air-defence fighter flown by the Royal Navy's Fleet Air Arm during the 1950s through to the early 1970s. The Sea Vixen was designed by the de Havilland Aircraft Company during the late 1940s at its Hatfield aircraft factory in Hertfordshire, developed from the company's earlier first generation jet fighters. It was later called the Hawker Siddeley Sea Vixen after de Havilland was absorbed by the Hawker Siddeley Corporation in 1960. The Sea Vixen had the distinction of being the first British two-seat combat aircraft to achieve supersonic speed, albeit not in level flight. Operating from British aircraft carriers, it was used in combat over Tanganyika and over Yemen during the Aden Emergency. Vancouver Sleep Clinic (VSC) is an Australian band led by singer, songwriter, and record producer Tim Bettinson. Career Tim Bettinson, a past student of Citipointe Christian College, was a finalist in triple j's Unearthed High competition in 2013. Vancouver Sleep Clinic released its debut EP, ''Collapse'', in late 2013. Bettinson has collaborated with a wide range of artists, including Chinese American musician Zhu (musician), Zhu, Madeon, Raury, Wafia, and Gnash (musician), Gnash. He worked with Grammy Award-winning Al Shux on Vancouver Sleep Clinic's debut album, titled ''Revival (Vancouver Sleep Clinic album), Revival'', released on April 7, 2017. Millencolin
Millencolin is a Swedish punk rock band that was formed on 12 October 1992 by Nikola Šarčević, Mathias Färm, and Erik Ohlsson (musician), Erik Ohlsson in Örebro, Sweden. In early 1993, drummer Fredrik Larzon joined the band. The name Millencolin is derived from the Aerial (skateboarding), skateboard trick "melancholy". History The original lineup, consisting of Šarčević (vocals and bass), Ohlsson (guitar), and Färm (drums), released their first demo tape, ''Goofy'', in early 1993. Soon afterwards, Larzon joined the band to play drums, allowing Färm to perform as the second guitarist. In the summer of 1993, they recorded a second demo tape, ''Melack''. Marty Friedman (born December 8, 1962) is an American guitarist, best known for his tenure as the lead guitarist for thrash metal band Megadeth from 1990 to 2000. He is also known for playing alongside Jason Becker in Cacophony from 1986 until 1989, as well as his 13 solo albums and tours. Friedman has resided in Tokyo, Japan since 2003, where he has appeared on over 700 Japanese television programs such as ''Rock Fujiyama'', ''Hebimeta-san'', ''Kōhaku Uta Gassen'' and ''Jukebox English''. ''Vixen'' is the debut studio album by American rock band Vixen, released on August 31, 1988, by EMI's Manhattan Records. It includes the singles " Edge of a Broken Heart" and "Cryin'", which reached numbers 26 and 22 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100, respectively. Richard Marx, one of the late 1980s' most successful recording artists, was heavily involved in Vixen's early career, co-producing the album and writing one of their highest-charting singles, "Edge of a Broken Heart". Vixen is an American rock band formed in Saint Paul, Minnesota, in 1980. During its most commercially successful period from 1987 to 1992, the band consisted of Jan Kuehnemund (lead guitar), Janet Gardner (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Share Ross (bass guitar), and Roxy Petrucci (drums). The band's eponymous first album was released in 1988, and reached No. 41 on the ''Billboard'' 200. Their second album ''Rev It Up'' was released in 1990, and reached No. 52 on the ''Billboard'' 200. is the second major label single by the Japanese kawaii metal band Babymetal. It was released in Japan on June 19, 2013 as the fifth single from the album ''Babymetal''. It is also the first single released independently from the idol group Sakura Gakuin. Release and promotion The single was first announced for a June release on April 1, 2013. The single was released in four versions: a standard edition and three limited editions. The FV721 Fox Combat Vehicle Reconnaissance (Wheeled) (CVR(W)) was a 4 × 4 armoured car manufactured by ROF Leeds, deployed by the British Army as a replacement for the Ferret scout car and the Saladin armoured car. The Fox was introduced into service with B Squadron, 1st Royal Tank Regiment (Aliwal Barracks, Tidworth) in 1975 and withdrawn from service 1993–94. Development of the Fox began in 1965 and the following year the Daimler company of Coventry, which was building the Ferret scout car at the time, was awarded a contract to build 15 prototype vehicles. The first was completed in November 1967 and the last in April 1969. User trials began in 1968 and the first official announcement concerning the Fox was made in October 1969.
