Jo Ann Washam
Jo Ann Washam (May 24, 1950 – December 6, 2019) was an American professional golfer who played on the LPGA Tour. Washam was born in Auburn, Washington. She played college golf and basketball at Washington State University, where she also joined the women's fraternity Alpha Gamma Delta. She was elected to the Washington State University Athletic Hall of Fame in 1982. Washam won three times on the LPGA Tour between 1975 and 1979. Washam died on December 6, 2019. Mary Bea Porter
Mary Bea Porter-King (born December 4, 1949) is an American professional golfer who played on the LPGA Tour. Porter was born in Everett, Washington. She attended Arizona State University, where she played four sports; golf, basketball, volleyball, and softball. She was inducted into the Arizona State Sports Hall of Fame in 2001. Porter turned professional in 1973 and joined the LPGA Tour after winning the qualifying school tournament in June 1973. She won once on the LPGA Tour in 1975. During a qualifying round for the 1988 Samaritan Turquoise Classic, Porter saved the life of a drowning boy at a home adjacent to the fairway. Porter-King moved to Hawaii in 1989 after her marriage and helped found the Hawaii State Junior Golf Association. She was inducted into the Hawaii Golf Hall of Fame in 2004. Sandra Palmer (born March 10, 1943) is an American professional golfer. She became a member of the LPGA Tour in 1964 and won 19 LPGA Tour events, including two major championships, during her career. She was elected to the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2023 and will be inducted in 2024. Amateur career Palmer was born in Fort Worth, Texas, but grew up (and first played golf) in Bangor, Maine.
