Vivekodayam
''Vivekodayam'' ('Dawn of wisdom') is a Malayalam literary journal established in 1904 to serve as a voice of the underprivileged communities in the Indian state of Kerala. It was founded by Kumaran Asan, a prominent poet of malayalam literature, social reformer, disciple of Narayana Guru and founder-secretary of the associated SNDP Yogam, who was inspired by the teachings of Swami Vivekananda (The journal name was a tribute to him.). Pandalam Kerala Varma
Kerala Varma (January 1879 – June 1919), most commonly known as Mahakavi Pandalam Kerala Varma (Malayalam: മഹാകവി പന്തളം കേരള വർമ്മ), was an Indian poet, scholar, and publisher. He was born in Pandalam, and belonged to the Pandalam Royal Family. He wrote two mahakavyas, more than a hundred narrative poems, translations, and children's poetry. He is widely regarded as the author of the first complete mahakavya in Malayalam. He was the owner and Chief Editor of ''Kavana Kaumudi'', the first Malayalam periodical, which was also the first to introduce special issues in Malayalam. Nachuk Tahate Shyama
''Nachuk Tahate Shyama'', (translated as "And Let Shyama Dance There" or "Let Shyama Dance There"), is a Bengali language poem written by Vivekananda. The poem was originally published in two issues in ''Vivekodayam'' in 1904. The poem was later included in the second volume of ''The Complete Works of Swami Vivekananda''. The long poem relates to one's surrender to the Hindu goddess Shyama or Kali, and is also interpreted as "Let Kali dance there" a poem dedicated to Kali. Kumaran Asan
Mahakavi Kumaran Asan (Malayalam: എൻ. കുമാരൻ ആശാൻ) (12 April 1873 – 16 January 1924) was a poet of Malayalam literature, Indian social reformer and a philosopher. He is known to have initiated a revolution in Malayalam poetry during the first quarter of the 20th century, transforming it from the metaphysical to the lyrical and his poetry is characterised by its moral and spiritual content, poetic concentration and dramatic contextualisation. He is one of the triumvirate poets of Kerala and a disciple of Sree Narayana Guru.He was awarded the prefix "Mahakavi" in 1922 by the Madras university which means "great poet". Ezhava
The Ezhavas () are a community with origins in the region of India presently known as Kerala, where in the 2010s they constituted about 23% of the population and were reported to be the largest Hindu community. They are also known as ''Ilhava'', ''Irava'', ''Izhava'' and ''Erava'' in the south of the region; as ''Chovas'', ''Chokons'' and ''Chogons'' in Central Travancore; and as ''Thiyyar'', ''Tiyyas'' and ''Theeyas'' in the Malabar region.
