Vivaha Bandham
''Vivaha Bandham'' () is a 1964 Indian Telugu-language drama film, produced and directed by P. S. Ramakrishna Rao of Bharani Pictures. The film stars N. T. Rama Rao, Bhanumathi Ramakrishna with music composed by M. B. Sreenivasan, while Bhanumathi has taken care supervision. It is a remake of the Bengali film '' Saat Pake Bandha'' (1963). Plot Bharathi is the daughter of retired principal Appa Rao, with values and self-esteem. Lecturer Chandrashekar gets acquainted with her, and they fall in love. Bharathi's mother, Manikyamba, does not like this alliance because of its prestige. But Appa Rao convinces her and arranges the marriage of Chandrashekar and Bharathi. After the wedding, Manikyamba constantly criticizes Chandrashekar, so he leaves their house with Bharathi and they start living happily. Manikyamba does not like her daughter's middle-class life. ''Saat Pake Bandha'' is a Bengali romantic film starring Soumitra Chatterjee, Suchitra Sen, Pahari Sanyal and Tarun Kumar. Directed by Ajoy Kar, it was a box office success upon its release. The movie was remade in 1963 in Telugu as ''Vivaha Bandham'', in 1974 in Hindi as ''Kora Kagaz'' and in Tamil as '' Lalitha'' in 1976 and in Malayalam as '' Archana Teacher'' (1981). Radha Kumari

Vasanthi B. A. (born as Karanam Vasanthi) was an Indian actress and producer who was active in the Tamil language, Tamil, Telugu language, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada film industries during the latter half of the 20th century. Suryakantham (28 October 1924 – 18 December 1994) was an Indian actress in Telugu cinema. She was popular for her portrayal of cruel and cunning women with a comedic touch. Early life Suryakantham was born and brought up in a Telugu family residing at Venkata Krishnaraya Puram near Kakinada of East Godavari district in Andhra Pradesh.
