Vitor Bruno Soares Miranda (born March 10, 1979) is a Brazilian former kickboxer and mixed martial artist. He was the K-1 Brazil 2005 and K-1 Fighting Network Turkey 2007, K-1 Turkey 2007 super heavyweight tournament champion. Biography Vitor Miranda was born in Joinville, Santa Catarina (state), Santa Catarina, Brazil. When growing up, he was interested in martial arts but did not start training before turning 21, when his friend introduced him to Muay Thai. Currently, Miranda trains in the U.S. at Imperial Athletics in Boca Raton, Florida. Kickboxing career After only two years of practice and at the same time working part-time as a video store clerk, Miranda turned pro in 2001. He made his K-1 debut in 2003, quitting his job to become a full-time fighter. Miranda's first K-1 fight was on February 23, 2003, at K-1 Brazil GP. Nicholas Catone (born September 1, 1981) is a retired American mixed martial artist. Catone competed from 2009 to 2015 in the Middleweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
