Vitaliy Gulyaev
Vitalii Anatoliiovych Huliaiev (; 26 May 1978 — 23 July 2022) was a Ukrainian military officer. He served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, rising to the rank of colonel, and serving as commander of the 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade between 2021 and 2022. Huliaiev had previously been the chief of staff of the 28th Mechanized Brigade, and commander of the between 2018 and 2019. He had been in combat action since the beginning of the war in eastern Ukraine in 2014, and died during the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022. He was posthumously appointed a Knight of the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky III degree in 2022. Biography Huliaiev was born in 1978 in the city of Shostka, Sumy Oblast. Shostka
Shostka (, ) is a city in Sumy Oblast, northeastern Ukraine. Shostka serves as the administrative center of Shostka Raion. Population: The city lies on the Shostka River, a tributary of the Desna (river), Desna, from which it gets its name. Shostka is an important centre of industry: in chemicals (see Svema) and in dairy, the Shostka City Milk Plant was recently acquired by the Bel Group. University Of Luhansk
The Luhansk University, officially the Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University (, ) or Lugansk State Pedagogical University (), is the oldest university in Donbas region and has a reputation as one of Ukraine's most prestigious universities. Following the 2014 pro-Russian unrest in Ukraine and the establishment of the Luhansk People's Republic (LPR), this university was partitioned into two universities. Novi Biliari (; ) is a rural settlement in Odesa Raion of Odesa Oblast in Ukraine. It belongs to Yuzhne urban hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. Andriy Kovalchuk
Major-General Andrii Trokhymovych Kovalchuk (; born 28 April 1974) is a Ukrainian military officer. He graduated from a military academy in 1997 and joined the Ukrainian army. He served in Ukraine and on deployment as a peacekeeper to the United Nations missions in Kosovo, Liberia and the Côte d'Ivoire. During the war in Donbas from 2014 to 2022, Kovalchuk took part in successful operations to liberate settlements in Donetsk Oblast before assaulting the Luhansk International Airport. Despite being wounded he captured the airport and held it for almost two months. Kovalchuk afterwards served with airborne troops and recommended the replacement of their Soviet-style uniform.
