Virtue (musical Group)
Virtue is an American gospel music group. The group currently consists of Ebony Holland, Karima Kibble and Heather Martin (singer), Heather Martin. History Virtue was formed in 1994 by Karima Kibble, Karima Trotter (Kibble), Ebony Holland, Ebony Trotter (Holland), Negelle Sumter, and Shavonne Sampson. All four women attended the historically Black Seventh-day Adventist Church, Seventh-day Adventist institution, Oakwood University (then Oakwood College). Their self-titled debut album, ''Virtue (Virtue album), Virtue,'' was released on April 29, 1997 by Verity Records. The album peaked at number 18 on Billboard's Christian Albums, and number 6 on Billboard's Top Gospel Albums. Hot Gospel Songs is a music chart published weekly by ''Billboard'' magazine in the United States. It ranks the popularity of gospel songs using the same methodology developed for the ''Billboard'' Hot 100, the magazine's flagship songs chart, by incorporating data from the sales of downloads, streaming data, and airplay across all monitored radio stations. From its inception in March 2005 through November 2013, the Hot Gospel Songs chart ranked the top songs only by overall audience impressions of songs played on gospel music radio stations. Beginning with the chart dated December 7, 2013, the chart follows the same methodology used for the Hot 100 to compile its rankings. Jive Records (later stylized as JIVE Records) was a British-American independent record label founded by Clive Calder in 1981 as a subsidiary of the Zomba Group of Companies, Zomba Group. In the US, the label had offices in New York City and Chicago.
