Vinny Harvey
Vincent Harvey (1937 – 1 November 2022) was an Irish Gaelic footballer and manager. He played with club side Éire Óg and at inter-county level with the Carlow senior football team. Harvey also served as manager of a range of club teams. Playing career Harvey was a founder-member of the Éire Óg club in Carlow in 1956. He enjoyed his first success at adult level when Éire Óg won the Carlow JFC title in 1958. The following decade saw Harvey win Carlow SFC titles with the club in 1960, 1962, 1965, 1967 and 1968. His performances at club level earned a call-up to the Carlow senior football team and he made a number of appearances for the team in the National League and Leinster Championship. Management career After his playing days, Harvey managed a number of club teams in Carlow, Wicklow, Kildare, Laois and Wexford. Éire Óg GAA (Carlow)
Éire Óg are a GAA club based in Carlow town. The club are solely involved in the sport of gaelic football, fielding teams across all underage categories as well as adult competitions. Formed in 1958, the club has enjoyed tremendous success on the field and are one of the most successful clubs in the history of Carlow GAA. They have won the Carlow Senior Football Championship 31 times, the Leinster Senior Club Football Championship 5 times and were All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship runners up in 1993 and 1996. In November 2024, it was announced that former players Richard Mahon and Cormac Mullins would be taken over the Eire Og senior team for the upcoming 2025 season. Kiltegan GAA
Kiltegan GAA Club (official title "Naomh Teagáin GAA club") is a Gaelic Athletic Association, GAA club located in Kiltegan, County Wicklow. The club was founded in 1964, and its catchment area covers the villages of Kiltegan, Rathdangan, and surrounding areas. The club is represented in youth competitions by the juvenile club Michael Dwyers GAA (Wicklow), Michael Dwyers which is a combination of the GAA clubs in Kiltegan, Ballymanus and Knockananna. History Kiltegan won its first Wicklow Senior Football Championship, Wicklow SFC title in 1986 and followed this up by winning its first Wicklow Senior Hurling Championship, Wicklow SHC title in 1987. Carlow Inter-county Gaelic Footballers
Carlow ( ; ) is the county town of County Carlow, in the south-east of Ireland, from Dublin. At the 2022 census, it had a population of 27,351, the twelfth-largest urban center in Ireland. The River Barrow flows through the town and forms the historic boundary between counties Laois and Carlow. In the United Kingdom, these messengers were employed by the General Post Office; in the United States, they worked for Western Union or other telegraph companies. Leinster Under-21 Football Championship
The Leinster GAA Football Under-20 Championship, known simply as the Leinster Under-20 Championship, is an annual inter-county Gaelic football competition organised by the Leinster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). It is the highest inter-county football competition for male players between the ages of 17 and 20 in the province of Leinster. The championship was contested as the Leinster Under-21 Championship between 1964 and 2016 before changing to an under-20 age category from 2018. It is sponsored by EirGrid. The final, currently held in July, serves as the culmination of a series of games played during a five to six-week period, and the results determine which team receives the Flood Cup. Tinahely Gaelic Athletic Association is a Gaelic football and ladies' Gaelic football club based in Tinahely, County Wicklow, Ireland. History GAA activity in Tinahely is first recorded in 1886. The club was revived as ''St. Patricks'' in 1911 and won their first senior county title in 1917. The club lapsed out of existence around 1924, being revived in 1961, which is the date on the current club crest. Tinahely won the county championship in 1984 and advanced to the final of the Leinster Senior Club Football Championship, losing to St Vincents.
