Câu lạc bộ bóng đá Vĩnh Long, simply known as Vĩnh Long, is a Vietnamese football club based in Vĩnh Long, Vĩnh Long Province, Vietnam. They are now playing in V.League 3. The club's greatest success has been its two seasons in the first division, the V.League 1, in 1997 and 1999-00. The team is currently playing at Vĩnh Long Stadium. Vĩnh Long
Vĩnh Long () is a city and the capital of Vĩnh Long Province in Vietnam's Mekong Delta. Vĩnh Long covers and has a population of 147,039 (as of 2009). The name was spelled 永 隆 ("eternal prosperity") in the former Hán Nôm writing system. Location Vĩnh Long is on the Cổ Chiên River, which branches out from the Mekong River at the narrows of Mỹ Thuận about upstream, only to meet it later downstream. Dong Thap Football Club ('), simply known as Dong Thap, is a Vietnamese football club based in Cao Lãnh, Đồng Tháp Province. Following the club's most recent relegation from the top-flight during the 2016 season, Đồng Tháp returned to the V.League 2 for the 2017 campaign. The team is currently playing at Cao Lãnh Stadium.
