Vindicators (video Game)
''Vindicators'' is an arcade video game released by Atari Games in 1988. One or two players each control a tank in a multidirectional scrolling level. Home ports were by Tengen (company), Tengen. ''Vindicators'' was not licensed by Nintendo and used an alternate chip to defeat the 10NES lockout system. Ports were planned for the Atari Lynx and Apple IIGS, with the latter even completed, but both were cancelled. ''Vindicators'' was followed by the lesser known arcade sequel, ''Vindicators Part II''. Gameplay The game begins by asking the player(s) to choose a difficulty level. The higher difficulties make the enemies stronger and the players weaker and also start the players in a later set of Level (video games), levels (called "galaxies") and with some Power-up, powerups. The easiest difficulty starts the player(s) in the first level with no bonuses. Atari Games
Atari Games Corporation was an American producer of arcade video games, active from 1985 to 1999, then as Midway Games West Inc. until 2003. It was formed when the coin-operated video game division of Atari, Inc. was transferred by its owner Warner Communications to a joint venture with Namco, being one of several successor companies to use the name Atari. The PlayStation 3 (PS3) is a home video game console developed and marketed by Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE). It is the successor to the PlayStation 2, and both are part of the PlayStation brand of consoles. ''Midway Arcade Origins'' is a 2012 video game compilation developed by Backbone Entertainment and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. A successor to the '' Midway Arcade Treasures'' series, it compiles several arcade games that were owned or published by Midway Games from 1981 to 1992. The game was later for the Xbox One via the backwards compatibility program. The compilation was published after Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment had acquired the rights to the games following Midway Games bankruptcy. ''Gauntlet'' is a 1985 fantasy-themed hack-and-slash arcade video game developed and released by Atari Games. It is one of the first Multiplayer video game, multiplayer dungeon crawl arcade games. Future plc is a British publishing company. It was started in 1985 by Chris Anderson. It is listed on the London Stock Exchange and is a constituent of the FTSE 250 Index.
