Aversa
Aversa () is a city and ''comune'' in the Province of Caserta in Campania, southern Italy, about 24 km north of Naples. It is the centre of an agricultural district, the ''Agro Aversano'', producing wine and cheese (famous for the typical domestic buffalo, buffalo mozzarella). Luigi Pastore
Luigi Pastore (Aversa, Province of Caserta, May 24, 1834 - January 19, 1913) was an Italian painter. Born to working-class parents, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts of Naples, and painted mainly landscapes, historic and sacred subjects, or Neo-Pompeian themes. In 1885 at the Mostra Borbonica of Naples, he displayed ''The daughter of Titian'' and in 1859, he sent ''St. Anthony Abbot mourning on the remains of St Paul, the first hermit''. In 1874, he sent to the Promotrice partenopea, the canvas ''Il cadavere di Coligny'', and in 1879, ''La piccola operaia''. In later years, he returned to his native town of Aversa where he became an educator and sponsor of the arts. Caserta
Caserta ( ; ) is the capital of the province of Caserta in the Campania region of Italy. An important agricultural, commercial, and industrial ''comune'' and city, Caserta is located 36 kilometres north of Naples on the edge of the Campanian plain at the foot of the Campanian Subapennine mountain range. The city is best known for the 18th-century Bourbon Royal Palace of Caserta. History Anciently inhabited by Osco- Samnite tribes, modern Caserta was established around the defensive tower built in Lombard times by Pando, Prince of Capua. ''Scapigliatura'' () is the name of an artistic movement that developed in Italy after the Risorgimento period (1815–71). The movement included poets, writers, musicians, painters and sculptors. Gerolamo Induno (13 December 1825 – 18 December 1890) was an Italian painter and soldier, best known for his Military art, military scenes. His older brother, Domenico Induno, Domenico, was also a well-known artist and they often worked together. Biography He was born in Milan, where his father was a chef and butler at the Milanese court.
