Vincent Clerc
Vincent Clerc (born 7 May 1981) is a former France, French professional rugby union player who played on the Wing (rugby union), wing. Birth and early career Born in the city of Échirolles, suburb of the south of Grenoble (Isère), Clerc first played rugby at FC Grenoble, helping them reach the Top 14, Top 16 before moving to Stade Toulousain, Toulouse in 2002, where he played until 2016. Clerc earned his first cap for France national rugby union team, France on November 9, 2002 against South Africa national rugby union team, South Africa. Whilst at Toulouse Clerc won the Heineken Cup three times in 2003 Heineken Cup Final, 2003, 2005 Heineken Cup Final, 2005 and 2010 Heineken Cup Final, 2010. FC Grenoble
The Football Club de Grenoble Rugby (FCG) is a French rugby union club based in Grenoble and founded in 1892. FCG was champion of France in 1953–54 French Rugby Union Championship, 1954 and runner-up in 1992–93 French Rugby Union Championship, 1993 during a controversial final, being deprived of the title of champion of France following a refereeing error. The club also won the Challenge Yves du Manoir in 1987 and was finalist in 1969, 1986 and 1990. Échirolles (; ) is a Communes of France, commune in the Isère Departments of France, department, southeastern France. Part of the Grenoble urban unit (agglomeration), it is the second-largest suburb of the city of Grenoble, which is immediately to its north. Shane Williams
Shane Mark Williams, (born 26 February 1977) is a Welsh former rugby union player most famous for his long and successful tenure as a wing for the Ospreys and the Wales national team. He also played scrum-half on occasion. Williams is the record try scorer for Wales, and fourth on the international list of leading rugby union test try scorers behind Daisuke Ohata, Bryan Habana and David Campese. In 2008, Williams was selected as the World Rugby Player of the Year, then known as the IRB Player of the Year. Shane Patrick Horgan (born 18 July 1978) is an Irish former rugby union player who played wing or centre for Leinster and Ireland. Early life Horgan was born on 18 July 1978 in Bellewstown, County Meath, to an Irish mother, Ursula (''née'' Campbell) from County Kildare and a New Zealand father, John. His maternal grandparents were from Midfield, County Mayo. He has three older sisters, Maria, Sharon, and Lorraine, and one younger brother, Mark. In his youth, he played for Boyne RFC. The 2008 Six Nations Championship, known as the 2008 RBS 6 Nations because of sponsorship by the Royal Bank of Scotland, was the ninth series of the rugby union Six Nations Championship, the 114th series of the international championship. Fifteen matches were played over five weekends from 2 February to 15 March, resulting in Wales national rugby union team, Wales winning the Grand Slam (rugby union), Grand Slam, their second in the last four championships and tenth overall. The 2007 Rugby World Cup () was the sixth Rugby World Cup, a quadrennial international rugby union competition organised by the International Rugby Board. Twenty nations competed for the Webb Ellis Cup in the tournament, which was hosted by France from 7 September to 20 October. France won the hosting rights in 2003, beating a bid from England. The competition consisted of 48 matches over 44 days; 42 matches were played in 10 cities throughout France, as well as four in Cardiff, Wales, and two in Edinburgh, Scotland. Croke Park (, ) is a Gaelic games stadium in Dublin, Ireland. Named after Archbishop Thomas Croke, it is referred to as Croker by GAA fans and locals.
