Vinayak Samant
Vinayak Radhakrishna Samant (born 25 October 1972 in Mumbai, Maharashtra) is an Indian cricketer who played for Tripura, Mumbai and Assam. He is right-hand wicket-keeper batsman. Samant mainly played in the shadow of Sameer Dighe as Dighe was first-choice keeper for Mumbai. Samant played for Assam from 1995 to 2001. He returns to Mumbai when Sameer Dighe retire. He played eight seasons with Mumbai before moving to Tripura Tripura (, Bengali: ) is a state in Northeast India. The Mumbai cricket team is a cricket team representing the city of Mumbai in Indian domestic cricket. The team's primary home ground is the Wankhede Stadium in South Mumbai. Tripura Cricket Team
The Tripura cricket team is a domestic cricket team representing the Indian state of Tripura. History Cricket developed later in Tripura than in most other parts of India with competitions first organized in the early 1960s, and the Tripura Cricket Association forming in 1968. Tripura entered the Ranji Trophy, along with Goa and Himachal Pradesh, when the competition was expanded for the 1985–86 season. They have always been one of the weaker sides in the competition. Up to the end of 2020, they had played 183 first-class matches resulting in nine wins, 116 losses and 58 draws. In List A cricket they had played 120 matches resulting in 18 wins, 101 losses and one no-result. The Assam cricket team is a domestic cricket team represents the Indian state of Assam, run by the Assam Cricket Association. They compete and represent the state annually in the first-class Ranji Trophy tournament, limited-overs Vijay Hazare Trophy tournament and the Twenty20 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. Sameer Dighe (born 8 October 1968) is a former Indian cricketer , cricket coach & entrepreneur. He was a right-handed batsman and a wicket-keeper. His main chance at international cricket did not come until the 1999–2000 season, at which time he was 31 years of age. Domestic career Dighe made his First-class debut for Mumbai cricket team against Gujarat cricket team during the 1990–91 Ranji Trophy season where he scored 107 runs and finished season with 440 runs in 6 innings at an average of 73.33 with one half-century and two hundreds.
