Vilnius–Klaipėda Railway
Vilnius – Klaipėda Railway () is one of the main local railways in Lithuania. This railway connects the Lithuanian capital Vilnius with the country's biggest seaside city Klaipėda. It is the most actively used train line in Lithuania. The train services going from Vilnius to Klaipėda run 4 times per day. History In 2016, new Pesa 730ML locomotives were introduced on the Vilnius-Klaipėda route. In 2022, the electrification of Vilnius-Klaipėda Railway project started with an estimated cost of 411.26 million euro. After the completion of the electrification project, carbon dioxide emissions from the line will be reduced by 150 thousand tonnes each year. Stations References

Vilnius Railway Station
Vilnius Central Railway Station () is an LTG Link train station in Vilnius, Lithuania. The railway station situates between two neighbourhoods of Vilnius — Naujininkai and Naujamiestis — and on the edge of the Old Town. History The station was opened in 1869 while building the Saint Petersburg–Warsaw Railway. It was destroyed in 1945 during the World War II and in 1950 it was rebuilt in socialist realism style. The station was renovated in 1998 and then again in 2023. Kretinga (Yiddish: קרעטינגע) is a city in Klaipėda County, in north-western Lithuania. It is the capital of the Kretinga District Municipality. It is located east of the popular Baltic Sea resort town of Palanga, and about north of Lithuania's 3rd largest city and principal seaport, Klaipėda. Plungė (; Samogitian dialect, Samogitian: ''Plongė''; ) is a city in Lithuania with 17,252 inhabitants. Plunge is the capital of the Plungė District Municipality which has 33,251 inhabitants (2022). Two parts of the city are separated by the Babrungas River and two bridges are built over it. Plungė is known for Plungė Manor and its park, where the Samogitian Art Museum is located.
