Vilma Henkelman
Vilma Maria Helena Henkelman (born 15 October 1944 in Rotterdam - died 20 March 2023) was a Dutch sculptor, ceramist, and photographer.Biographical data at the Netherlands Institute for Art History. Emmy Van Deventer
Emmy van Deventer-Molt (2 February 1915, in Voorburg – 1998) was a Dutch ceramist, and lecturer at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie, and the AKV St. Joost.Deventer - Molt, Emmy van at capriolus.nl, 2015. Life and work Born Emmy Molt in Voorburg, Emmy at the age of 4 moved to Leiden where she grew up. She attended the Hogere Burgerschool for girls in Leiden, where she graduated with honor. Princessehof Ceramics Museum
The Princessehof Ceramics Museum (in Dutch: Keramiekmuseum Princessehof) is a museum of ceramics in the city of Leeuwarden in the Netherlands. The museum's name comes from one of two buildings in which it is housed: a small palace ( means ‘royal court’) built in 1693 and later occupied by Marie Louise, dowager Princess of Orange. The other annexed building is the Papinga stins, a former stronghold from the 15th century. The museum buildings are of interest, and so are its collection of tiles, pottery, and ceramic sculpture. History of the building In 1731, the building was purchased by Marie Louise (known in Leeuwarden as ''Marijke Meu'', 'Aunt Mary'), who had been a widow since 1711 and acted as regent for her son William IV up to that year, when he came of age.
