Ville Uusitalo
Ville Aleksi Uusitalo (born 6 July 1979) is a retired Finnish ice hockey defenceman. He played a total of 578 regular season games in the Finnish Elite League, scoring 195 points and accumulating 441 penalty minutes, as well as 30 playoff games, scoring 11 points and 24 penalty minutes. Uusitalo served as the captain of the HC Ässät from 2011 to 2015 and led the team to the Finnish Championship in 2013. Additionally he represented Jokerit and the Pelicans in the Finnish Elite League. Uusitalo also played abroad in France, Sweden and Italy. Career Junior and semi-pro He played as a junior for Jäähonka and Espoon Palloseura, whose men's team Uusitalo played for the first time in the third tier, the Suomi-sarja, in the 2000–01 season. HC Alleghe is a professional ice hockey team in Alleghe, Italy. The team plays in the country's second-tier Italian Hockey League and plays at Stadio Alvise De Toni in Alleghe. The team was the surprise winner of the 1992-93 Alpenliga. Italian Hockey League Serie A, formerly known as Serie A, is the top tier of professional ice hockey in Italy, which first began play in 1925. They are conducted under the authority of the Federazione Italiana Sport del Ghiaccio (FISG). The league initially merged with the Inter-National League to become the Alps Hockey League in 2016. Tapio Sammalkangas
Tapio Sammalkangas (born March 16, 1980) is a Finnish former professional ice hockey defenceman. Sammalkangas played 671 games in the Finnish Elite League scoring 94 points and 803 penalty minutes. He won the Finnish Championship with the Porin Ässät in 2013 and Tappara in 2017. He was known as a defensive defenceman. Early life Tapio Sammalkangas was born in Tampere, Finland on 16 March 1980. His father, Timo, played ice hockey as a junior with Ilves and in Sweden's lower divisions. Career Junior Tapio Sammalkangas started ice hockey in the Tampereen Ilves as a four-year old. He played as a forward until the age of ten. Sammalkangas won the U18 bronze medal with Ilves in 1997 and U20 silver in 1999. HC TPS
TPS or Turun Palloseura is an ice hockey team and 10-time champion of SM-liiga and 1-time champion of SM-sarja. They play in Turku, Finland, at Gatorade Center. In terms of championships, TPS is the second all-time most successful team in SM-Liiga, right behind Tappara. Team history TPS was established in 1922 as Turun Palloseura, from which the acronym derives. The club began ice hockey activities after 1929. Today, the full name of the company that owns the ice hockey team is ''HC TPS Turku Oy''. Sami Vatanen (born 3 June 1991) is a Finns, Finnish professional ice hockey defenceman who is currently a free agent. He last played for Genève-Servette HC of the National League (ice hockey), National League (NL). The Pekka Rautakallio trophy is an ice hockey award given by the Finland, Finnish Liiga to the best defenceman of the season. Pekka Rautakallio
Pekka Olavi "Rocky" Rautakallio (born July 25, 1953) is a Finnish former professional ice hockey defenceman and coach. He played 14 seasons in Finland's SM-sarja and SM-liiga between 1968 and 1987 for Porin Ässät (men's ice hockey), Ässät and HIFK (ice hockey), HIFK Helsinki, during which he was a five-time Finnish All-Star. Rautakallio was a member of Ässät's championship team that won the Kanada-malja in 1978. He was named the best defenceman of the SM-liiga in 1978, 1979 and 1986; the league later named the award the Pekka Rautakallio trophy in his honour. KalPa
Kalevan Pallo (KalPa) is a professional ice hockey team which competes in the Finnish Liiga. They play in Kuopio, Finland at the Niiralan monttu, Olvi Areena. Team history Established in 1929 as ''Sortavalan Palloseura'' in Sortavala, the club relocated to Kuopio in 1945 after its original hometown had been annexed by the Soviet Union. During its Sortavala years, the club was not active in ice hockey, but competed in association football, bandy, and pesäpallo instead.
