Vilkyčiai Circuit
Vilkyčiai Circuit or Vilkyčiai Track is a FIA Grade 6 gravel-clay-asphalt motorsport race track located in Lithuania. The circuit hosts Lithuanian and international autocross, motocross and rallycross competitions. Layouts ''Rally Cross circuit.'' History In 1990, an long gravel-clay-asphalt motorsport race track was built in the Kebeliai gravel quarry. In 1991, Vilkyčiai Motor Sports Club was established. The club has been responsible for organizing the events in the track. The track was renovated in 1998–1999. Events In 2014, the first international rallycross competition took place – a stage of the European Rallycross Challenge. In 2019, Lithuanian, Baltic and Polish rallycross championship rounds took place on July 26–27. Motocross
Motocross is a form of off-road motorcycle racing held on enclosed off-road circuits. The sport evolved from motorcycle trials competitions held in the United Kingdom. History Motocross first evolved in Britain from motorcycle trials competitions, such as the Auto-Cycle Clubs's first quarterly trial in 1909 and the Scottish Six Days Trial that began in 1912. Autocross
Autocross is a form of motorsport in which competitors are timed to complete a short course using automobiles on a dirt or grass surface, excepting where sealed surfaces are used in United States. Rules vary according to the governing or sanctioning body, such as the length of the course, the number of permitted attempts, or whether competitors start the course individually at intervals or at the same time as others. In this latter form, Autocross differs from other forms of motor racing by using a system of heats or alternative timing methods for the classification rather than racing for position and declaring the first across the finish line as the winner. Kabeliai
Kabeliai is a village in Varėna district municipality, in Alytus County, in southeastern Lithuania. According to the 2011 census, the village has a population of 168 people. According to the 1921 census, the village was inhabited by 258 people, among whom 240 were Roman Catholic, 4 Orthodox, and 14 Mosaic. At the same time, 8 inhabitants declared Polish nationality, 1 Belarusian, 14 Jewish and 235 Lithuanian. There were 44 residential buildings in the village.
