Viljandi Linnastaadion
Viljandi linnastaadion is a multi-purpose stadium in Viljandi, Estonia. Opened in 1929 and located by Lake Viljandi, it is the home ground of Viljandi JK Tulevik. The stadium has 1,068 seats, of which 386 are under the roof. History The construction of the stadium started in 1928, when the mayor of Viljandi was August Maramaa. The sports ground was officially opened in June 1929, although the construction was not fully finished and due to a downturn in economy, the works were then halted for several years. The stadium was renovated in 1960 and in 1989. Extensive renovation works began at Viljandi linnastaadion in May 2008 and the stadium was reopened on 16 June 2009, reaching its current look. Sander Post
Sander Post (born 10 September 1984 in Viljandi) is an Estonian football coach and former player who played as a centre back. Club career Early career Post made his first-team debut for FC Elva at the age of 16 in 2001, as a defender. After two seasons in Elva, he moved to JK Viljandi Tulevik. At the age of 19, Sander started his professional career with FC Flora Tallinn, Estonia's biggest club, in 2004. In the same season he had short spell with JK Tervis Pärnu, where he made 19 appearances, scoring 8 goals. Stint in Denmark On 16 June 2005, Post signed for Danish 1st Division club Vejle Boldklub on a one-year loan deal, but failed to make impact there and only played in one league match. II liiga is the fourth level of football league competition in Estonia arranged by the Estonian Football Association. It consists of 28 teams, divided geographically into two divisions with 14 teams each in group North/East and South/West. Until 2013, it was the third level league. Competition During the season, teams play each opponent twice, once at home and once away, for 26 matches. At the end of the season, the winners of both divisions face each other in one final match to determine the champion of II liiga. As in most countries with low temperatures in winter time, the season starts around April and lasts until around the start of November. At the end of the season, the winners of both divisions may be promoted to the Esiliiga B, provided the clubs meet the licensing criteria of the Esiliiga B. Viljandi Jalgpalliklubi Tulevik, commonly known as Viljandi Tulevik, or simply as Tulevik, is an Estonian football club based in Viljandi that competes in II liiga, the fourth tier of Estonian football.
