Viktor Norén
Sugarplum Fairy is a pop-rock band from Borlänge, Sweden. The members took the name from a version of the Beatles' song "A Day in the Life" where John Lennon counts the song in by saying "sugar-plum-fairy, sugar-plum-fairy". Sugarplum Fairy was founded in 1998 by brothers Viktor and Carl Norén and by Kristian Gidlund. The band released several demos before being signed to EMI Records in 2004, releasing the EP Stay Young to generally positive reviews. Later they released their first single, "Sweet Jackie", from their first full-length album ''Young & Armed'' released later that year (September 29, 2004). The band toured heavily in Sweden, Japan and Germany, and released the debut album in different editions in both Japan and Germany in early 2005. In 2006 they put out their second record, "First Round First Minute". A third album followed in 2008, including a cover of The Hollies' "Bus Stop". In 2009 the band went on hiatus. Borlänge
Borlänge () is a Urban areas in Sweden, locality in Dalarna County, Sweden, with 44,898 inhabitants as of 2020. It is the seat of the Borlänge Municipality which as of 2017 had a total population of 51,604 inhabitants. History Originally Borlänge was the name of a tiny village, and traces back to at least the 1390s. The village was insignificant up until about 1870. In 1872 the construction of ''Domnarfvets Jernverk'', the ironworks of neighbouring village Domnarvet started. In 1875 a railway between Falun and Ludvika, via Borlänge was inaugurated. "Bus Stop" is a song recorded and released as a single by the British rock band the Hollies in 1966. It reached No. 5 in the UK Singles Chart. It was the Hollies' first US top ten hit, reaching No. 5 on the ''Billboard'' charts in September 1966. In Canada the song reached No. 1 and was their second top ten hit there. Background "Bus Stop" was written by Graham Gouldman, who also penned major hits for the Yardbirds (" For Your Love") and Herman's Hermits (" No Milk Today"), as well as the Hollies' first venture into the US top 40 with " Look Through Any Window". Mando Diao is an alternative rock band from Borlänge, Sweden. The band got their breakthrough with the release of the album '' Hurricane Bar''. Their main fan base is in Sweden, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Japan. Gustaf Erik David Norén (born 1 February 1981) is a Swedish musician (songwriting, vocals, guitar) and actor. He was previously one of the two frontmen of the Swedish band Mando Diao and is one half of the duo ''Gustaf & Viktor Norén''. Beginnings Gustaf was born to Jan Norén and Kerstin Bengtsson-Norén on 1 February 1981, in Borlänge. He has two younger brothers, Viktor and Carl, and a younger sister Josefine. The Hollies
The Hollies are an English rock and pop band formed in Manchester in 1962. One of the leading British groups of the 1960s and into the mid-1970s, they are known for their distinctive three-part vocal harmony style. Singer Allan Clarke and rhythm guitarist/singer Graham Nash founded the band as a Merseybeat-type group in Manchester, although some of the band members came from towns further north, in east Lancashire. "A Day in the Life" is a song by the English rock band the Beatles that was released as the final track of their 1967 album '' Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band''.
